While readying myself for work, my phone rang. I made the final touch and got out of my dresser. I then walk to the bed where my phone is at.

“Hello, mumsh?” I answered.

It is Chezca.

“Jac drove my car that you borrowed the other day,” she plainly said.

“Ah, yes, thank you for lending me that,” I replied like nothing really happened, getting out of my bedroom.

I am not saying that nothing is wrong, okay? But for now, I only want to mind myself. Please, Franchezca, don't ask anything about us or anything about what happened.

“Are you okay?” she asks and I can imagine her frowning face.

“Of course, you don't need to worry. Malaki na ako, mumsh,” I chuckled my words, convincing this persistent woman on the other line.

“What I mean is you, you and Jacob. A–Are you...? Ugh, never mind. Good morning and bye,” she uttered before the line cuts off.

“O–Okay,” I muttered, staring at my phone.

I shook my head before walking to the door but I stopped halfway in realization.

“Shit, Jacob,” I mumbled, closing my eyes firmly like he's absolutely giving me headaches.

Ano bang gagawin ko sa taong iyon? Oh, please, give me back my old beb, my gay best friend that I loved. I do not even like the Jacob that's always bugging me now, he's terrifying. He was bugging me before, people know that, but now is too much.

“Hah!” I breathed out while closing my eyes, getting myself ready to run — away from him.

I am hoping that I won't bump into him this morning. If you only knew how much he was crossing the line, damn. Sana ay hindi pa siya gising or nakaayos man lang. Hindi kami maaaring magkita. Enough, Diane. Get out now or he'll really be out there in a blink of an eye. Shit, here I go.

I opened my eyes before peeping on the peephole and gladly, there is no sign of him yet. Immediately, I walked out of my room and silently ran to the lift. When the door closed, my breathing turned even.

As in, literally, I almost jumped in shock. I did not notice that the elevator stopped on the ground floor and for Pete's sake, he is in front of me. When did he wake up? What is he doing here? How did he know that I am here?

“J–Jac...,” I called, smiling with a touch of confusion and nervousness.

Kinabahan ako bigla and I do not freaking know why. Ano na naman bang balak niya?

“I was waiting for you,” he said before making himself comfortable beside me, pressing a button down to the parking area. “Aakyatin na sana kita pero nandito ka na pala.”

Hindi naman ako nagsalita at saka lumayo nang kaunti mula sa puwesto niya, masyado kasi siyang malapit.

“Why?” he asked.

“Huh?” I asked back, glancing at him quick.

“Mabaho ba ako?” tanong niyang muli habang inaamoy-amoy ang office attire niya.
