I shook my head before stepping out to the floor of where my office is. Napangiti ako nang makakita ako ng isang Mondragon. His thoughtfulness and adhesion never fades. Can't stand being away to this Fortalejo, tsk. Nakatalikod ito at masaya ko siyang nilapitan. I excitedly clung on his arms that surprised him.
"Hi, Matt!"
"You surprised me, Diane. I'm gonna have a heartattack," napahawak pa siya sa dibdib niya bago ibinalik ang tingin kay Ally, Martina's secretary, "Just don't tell her that I'm here, 'kay?"
"I will not update her on call, Sir Matthew, but when she arrives, she'll ask and I have to," nahihiyang sagot nito.
"That's okay, but don't call her. I don't want her to hurry."
"I'll walk him to my cousin's office," I smiled at Ally and she nodded.
I pull Matthew towards Martina's office. Hmm, he is madly in love with my cousin. I can see it within the smile on his face.
"I'm sure, she will scold me when she sees me here," he chuckles.
"You said it," I agreed.
"Anyway, what brought you here? It's too early and Martina doesn't want distractions within office hours." I stop from walking and because I am clinging on his arms, he also did. "Hindi mo naman siya itatakas dito, right? Are you?" Pinagtaasan ko siya ng kilay.
He just grin before pinching my cheek. I slapped his hand away from it. Ginawa ba naman akong 10-year-old kid?

"I am not gonna ran her away from here, I just came to visit her. You know, she sleeps at her condo. I missed her," he explained.
Hay nako, sana lahat, may nakaka-miss. Sana lahat ng Mondragon, may nami-miss na Fortalejo. Argh, I hate you, Jac! Ayaw mo talaga akong kausapin, huh? Well, I am neither!
"That's sweet of you," I smiled bitterly. "Sige na, get in her office. May gagawin pa ko," paalam ko rito.
He bid me goodbye too before stepping inside my cousin's office. I walk inside mine with a smile on my face, but that faded upon seing mountains of paperworks. Dammit, what am I here? Agh, this is crazy! Better start working.
"Hello, Luis?" I answered a phone call from my assistant.
"Miss Diane, I just call to inform you about the meeting this afternoon. Nandito pa po ako sa branch natin sa Batangas kaya hahabol na lang po ako."
"Yeah, sure, thank you." Oh, how I hate meetings!
"Oh, I almost forgot, Miss Diane, we're gonna need a budget for the operations here. I suggest you talk to the CFO for the request para po sana maasikaso ko na bago ako bumalik sa Manila," dagdag pa nito.
"Okay, you don't have to worry. I'll make calls immediately," I said before ending the call.
I expell a sigh before palming my forehead. Shit, ang sakit na ng ulo ko. Anong oras na ba? I glance at the wall clock and shoot, it's almost noon. Hindi ko man lang namalayan ang oras sa dami kong ginagawa.
