Joshua's POV:

"But we can't be together."

What?!

"What do you mean? Of course we can!"

"No, we can't. What are people gonna think when you go from dating Sabrina Carpenter to me in less than 24 hours!"

"You want to know what they're gonna think? They're gonna think I finally made a good decision. Look Liv I love you. And I want people to know that."

"But-"

"No, no buts."

"Josh," she said with a sigh, "it's not like we can't date publically. And I'm sick and tired of having to hide my emotions. People will start speculating and it's just gonna be too much!"

"Babe you're letting your anxiety get in the way. Just throw all that out the window for a second and focus on us."

"Ok," she said with a sigh, "I'm listening."

"Good," I said smiling, "now, do you love me?"

"Yes."

"Do you want me to be with someone else?"

"No. No. No"

"Hahaha it's ok, don't get worried I'm not going anywhere," I responded, holding her to my chest as she wrapped her arms around my waist.

"Liv, if you don't want to be my girlfriend then I guess that's ok. Just don't let your fears dictate that decision."

"Josh, don't doubt that I love you. I'm just nervous," she whispered.

"Well then it's a good thing I'm here for you."

"But what if people don't like us together?"

"Liv, have you even looked at social media? It's pretty clear people want us together."

"Ok true," she said, laughing.

"Are you still scared?"

"No, just a little nervous," she admitted looking up at me.

"That's ok, that's good even."

"I love you."

"I love you too. Olivia please say you'll be my girlfriend. And I don't want to have a private relationship. I want everyone to know that the most phenomenal girl in the world is mine."

(A/N: I don't like when guys say "she's mine" because I find it territorial and can sometimes turn into toxic masculinity and sexism, but it works with the story. )

"Ok," she said with a huge smile on her face.

"Wait, seriously?! You're not joking!"

"Hahaha I'm not joking Joshy. I'll be you're girlfriend!"

"Yes!" I exclaimed as I picked her up and spun her in the air.

"What's sabrina gonna say?"

"Eh, doesn't matter."

"Josh!" she exclaimed as she started laughing.

"What?! I don't care what other people think, cus I love you and that's all that matters!"

"You're crazy," Liv replied as she went on her tippy-toes.

"But you love me for it," I answered.

"Uh-huh sure," Liv whispered before finally kissing me.
