Joshua's POV:

While Liv and I were singing, all these memories we have came flooding back. I know her better than anyone, and she knows me better than anyone.

I didn't write a whole song about not being able to think about anyone else but her for nothing.

So tonight I'm finally gonna do something about it. I need to work out if these feelings are just temporary or if they are actually serious.

I talked to Sabrina while Liv went and grabbed her bag.

She was mad but weirdly happy for me...

I remember exactly what she said when I told her we had to break up. She didn't even cry. Instead, she said:

"It's fine, really. Just promise me one thing?"

"Of course. What is it?"

"Promise me you'll fight for Olivia. You two are clearly still in love with each other, and I don't want you to waste your time running after another girl. You understand?"

"Uh, yeah of course."

"You sound uncertain..."

"I just...I'm just worried she doesn't feel the same way."

"Josh, you'd have to be an idiot to not see the way she looks at you."

"But I've hurt her. And I don't think she could ever forgive me."

"Then prove to her that you love her! You need to start fighting for what really matters."

"And how do I do that?"

"That's your decision to make. But if I were you, I'd show her that I could be better, and remind her how things used to be."

"Do you think it will work?"

"It had to."

"Why?"

"Because you two belong together."
