-The day students come back to Hogwarts
*Harry's POV*
I was sitting outside with Hermione and Ron
"Today's the day Layla gets back" I said
"And the other students" Hermione replied
"Yeah, but you can't deny that you want her back here too" I said
"Yeah" Hermione answered "But you-"
"Nope. I said you can't deny it"
We all laughed and continued talking. For days, Layla has been stuck in the back of my mind no matter what I was talking about. I couldn't stop thinking about how Layla reacted when she saw the necklace I gave her
"Harry. Harry!" Ron said bringing me out of my thoughts
"Huh?" I said
"You okay?" Ron asked me
"Yeah I'm good" I smiled
"Anyway.." Hermione said changing to topic
*Layla's POV*
Me and Cedric were sitting on the train on the way back to Hogwarts
"Tell me Layla," Cedric started
"Tell you what?" I asked
"If you fancy Harry?" Cedric said
"Ced," I said "I don't"
"Come on! You always talk about how much you miss him. And the way you reacted to his gift. And you're always fidgeting with the necklace he gave you. You have to fancy him"
He was right. I'm fidgeting with the necklace right now
"So I can't miss my, um, best friend now?" I replied
"I'll keep bothering you about this until you tell me" Cedric laughed
I laughed and changed the subject. Harry was always in my mind. My mother even bothered me about it. But Cedric was right, I acted differently to his gift then anyone else's. I can't wait to see him. And everyone else of course

I was back in my dorm putting clothes away. As I put my things away I could hear Harry's voice muffled. I smiled when I heard it. After I quickly put everything away and ran out of my dorm. I went into the common room
"Guys Look!" Hermione said as she saw me "Layla's back!"
I smiled and ran towards them. I hugged Hermione and Ron. And when I got to Harry
"Welcome back" Harry smiled
I smiled and hugged him. Ron and Hermione whispered as they usually did when me and Harry hugged or just interacted with each other
"What's so secret that you have to whisper?" I asked pulling out of the hug
"Oh" Ron looked at Hermione "Nothing"
I rolled my eyes and sat down. Harry sat next to me on one couch, Ron and Hermione on another couch
"So, what happened while you were gone?" Hermione asked
"Nothing major" I answered
"What might that mean?" Ron said
"I mean I just hung out with family and Cedric" I said
Crap. I shouldn't of said Cedric
"Cedric?" Harry asked with jealousy
