The First Look

Chapter 14

*Layla's POV*

After all of our classes we were at dinner. Dumbledore said once everyone was finished eating we would find partners and start the hunt for a small fake cauldron. Many people finished earlier than they usually did so we could start looking for the cauldron

"Can people just hurry up. I want to start already" I groaned

"Hopefully everyone is done soon" Hermione said

Everyone was done eating and we were finding partners

"We're being partners I guess Ron" Hermione said lightly hitting Ron on his head

"Then I guess we're partners Harry" I said lightly hitting Harry on his head mocking Hermione

She rolled her eyes and walked to the great hall doors with Ron

"What are we looking for again?" Harry asked me walking towards the great hall doors

"A small cauldron" I replied

"A small cauldron?! How are we supposed to find something small" Harry said

"I don't know dude. Just use your eyes" I said

Harry laughed. We stood next to Hermione and Ron. Soon after everyone had a partner.

"The hunt starts! NOW!" Dumbledore announced

The great hall doors opened and kids ran. I grabbed onto Harry's wrist so we didn't get lost between the other people

"Where to first?" I asked

"Um," Harry said "Potions classroom"

"Okay!"

I ran through kids still holding Harry's wrist. It as awkward but he didn't say anything so I kept holding on. I ran into the classroom and let go of him

"You check that side and I'll check this side" Harry said

I nodded and went to the right side of the room. I saw something and called Harry over

"I didn't just-" I said

"I think you did" Harry smiled

"But it's so early in the hunt I don't want to, you know," I whispered seeing people walk into the room

"Just grab it and hide it in your pocket and we'll keep it for a little while" Harry whispered

"Okay.." I replied

I put the small cauldron in the pocket of my robe. Harry grabbed my wrist mocking me

"And you're mocking me aren't you?" I asked

"Yep!" He smiled

We ran through the school, in and out of classrooms to play it off as if I hadn't found the cauldron.

Me and Harry decided to go back to the professors and give them the small cauldron. As we walked into the great hall, there were kids looking around trying to find the cauldron.

"We've found the cauldron Professor" I said to Professor McGonagall

"Excellent, 50 points to Gryffindor" She smiled "You two may go back to your common room"

Me and Harry nodded and started heading the the Gryffindor common room

"I bet people think we're crazy for acting so calm right now" I laughed

"Well, we are crazy" Harry laughed

We continued joking around as we went to the common room. I said the password and walked in
