I've been living with Sirius ever since late June. We were in a house with three bedrooms, one extra in case Harry ever wanted to live with us. Granted,I missed living close to Hermione and Cedric but Sirius always showed me full attention, unlike my foster family. I only liked one person from my foster family, Jake, my younger brother. If I told you the amount of times me and Harry wrote back and forth to each other over the summer, we would be here for days
"LAYLA!" Sirius yelled up the stairs
"WHAT?" I yelled back
"COME DOWN HERE"
"WHY"
"BECAUSE IT INVOLVES HARRY"
"HARRY?!" I said getting up and running down the stairs
"You better not be joking" I said as I saw Sirius at the bottom of the stairs
"I'm not, come with me"
Did I mention I told Sirius about me kind of fancying Harry? Now you know. I walked into his bedroom
"See this?" He said grabbing a letter
"Yes. What is it?" I asked
"We are going to the Dursley's. This letter, they have to sign it confirming that if Harry ever wanted to live with us, he could"
"The Dursley's? I hate them."
"You've never met them Layla"
"Yeah but they torture Harry!"
"Fair statement" Sirius said "Now get dressed, and don't wear a hoodie and sweatpants. I know you like to be comfy but you can't today"
"Got it" I said running up the stairs to my room
I opened my closet and grabbed an outfit

I ran down the stairs
"Is this fine?" I asked Sirius
"Perfect. You still managed to make it comfy didn't you?"
"Yep! Now let's go! I want to see Harry" I groaned
"Okay okay, come on. Go get in the car I'll be there in a second" Sirius said
I went out to the car and sat in the front seat. My birthday card from Remus still on the dashboard from a week ago. If you're wondering, my birthday is August 20th. The birthday card from Harry was also there, and Hermione's, and Cedric's, and Ron's, and Brianne's, and Lizzie's. If you can't tell I don't want to take these into the house. Sirius came and sat in the drivers seat
"When we get home you're taking those cards in" He said
"I know, I know" I sighed

We made it to the Dursley's. Me and Sirius got out of the car and walked to the door. He knocked
"You get it Harry!" A voice yelled from inside
The door opened and Harry smiled
"Who is it Harry?!" The voice yelled again
"The-" Harry started
"Oh. You." A man said
Vernon Dursley. The man, the myth, the devil.
"Come in. And who is this young lady?" A woman said
And that Petunia Dursley
"I'm Layla, Layla Black Miss." I said
"Nice to meet you for the first time" She said holding out her hand
I shook her hand and smiled slightly. She seemed a tad bit nicer than Vernon.
Me and Sirius walked inside. The house was small. A boy who seemed to be the same age as me and Harry walked up to me after Sirius walked away with Harry's aunt and uncle
"Dudley." He said holding out his hand
"Layla." I said giving him a handshake
"You aren't friends with, Harry, are you?" He scoffed
"I'm fact I am. And you can't do anything about it" I sneered
"You shouldn't be! He's a sick twisted, wizard" Dudley said
"I'm a 'sick twisted, witch'. And for your information, Harry isn't sick and twisted. He can protect himself and not need his family to protect him, unlike you" I said
"You can't be a-"
"I am. Now sram." I sneered
Dudley walked away
"That's the Layla I missed" Harry smiled
Harry and I went and sat down on a bench in the hallway
"What crazy thing do you think is going to happen this year?" I asked Harry
"I hope almost getting both of us killed isn't involved" He laughed
"I hope"
"And how is your arm doing?" He asked
"It's fine," I said taking off my jacket sleeve "It just turned into a scar"
"We need full confirmation from everyone in your house Mr.Black" Vernon said
"Layla!" Sirius called out
"I'll be back" I said to Harry
I walked over to the table that the adults were at
"Layla, you need to sign right here." Sirius said
"Why is that?" I asked
"In case Harry would want to live with us you would need to have confrontation that you would be fine with it" Sirius replied
I nodded and started signing my name
"First middle and Last?" I asked
I saw the three of them nod. As I finished signing I pushed the paper back towards them. I walked back over to Harry and sat down
"Would you want to live with me and my dad?" I asked
"I would but, I even though they are signing those papers, I doubt they would allow me" He sighed
The time flew by and before I knew it, I was going back into the car with Sirius. Harry saving as we drove off
"I wish he could live with us" I said
"I do too. But it's totally up to him and his aunt and uncle in the end" Sirius added
"At least he can stay at hogwarts for a long time instead of for the whole year" I said
Sirius smiled "You care a lot about that boy don't you?"
"I do, he's done so much for me. I need to return the favor"
"Why don't you ask that boy out this year?"
"Dad! I can't do that. We have too much of a good friendship," I started
"I don't want to ruin anything" Sirius said with me after hearing it about a thousand times
