-Going back to Hogwarts

*Layla's POV*

My mom dropped me off at the train station. I grabbed my things and ran through the wall, blah blah blah, you get it. I saw Hermione and ran up to her, she was with Ron

"Hi 'Mione!" I said hugging her

"Hi!"

"Hi Ron," I smiled "I didn't forget about you"

He smiled

"Have you guys seen Harry?" I asked

"No why?" Hermione said

"Is someone missing their boyfr-" Ron started

"He isn't my boyfriend." I sneered

"I heard someone say my name?" Someone said coming behind me

I turned around and saw Harry

"Harry!" I said as I hugged him

"Hi Layla" He laughed

"We should get on the train"

The four of us walked into the train. We found a compartment and went inside

"Come on everywhere else is full" Hermione said

"Who's that?" I asked as I sat down

"Professor RJ Lupin" Hermione answered

"Do you know everything?" Ron asked

"It's on the suitcase Ronald" Hermione said

"Do you think he's actually asleep?" Harry said

"Seems to be why?" I replied

Harry stood up

"I've got to tell you something" Harry said shutting the door to the compartment

~

"Let me get this straight," Ron said "Sirius Black has escaped Azkaban to come after you and Layla?!"

"Yeah.." Harry sighed

I was quiet. Still in shock of what Harry told us

"But they'll catch Black, won't they?" Hermione asked "I mean everyone's looking for him"

"Sure, Except no one's broken out of Azkaban before" Ron added

"Thanks Ron.." I said

The train suddenly stopped. Harry stood up and opened the door but got pushed back into his seat from the train violently stopping. The lights turned off but soon turned back on

"There's something moving out there.." Ron said putting his hand on the window

The lights turned off again. The windows slowly had ice cover them along with the bottle filled with something turning to ice. I grabbed onto Harry in fear. Something resembling what looked like death crept up to the compartment we were in. I started breathing heavier as it came closer to the door. The death looking thing opened the door. I moved closer to Harry. It seemed as if it was looking at all four, or five of you count Lupin, of us. As it looked right at Harry it was like he was having his soul sucked into the death looking thing

"Harry!" I yelled

I grabbed onto his hand but of course it didn't do anything. The guy who was "sleeping" cast a spell with his wand creating a bright blue light. The spell got rid of the death looking thing or whatever it's called. Harry passed out a bit after the thing was gone

"Harry?" I whispered

~

"Harry you alright?" Hermione asked as Harry opened his eyes

I handed him his glasses

"T-Thank you" He said putting them on

"Here eat this, it's gonna help" The man said handing Harry a piece of chocolate "It's alright, it's chocolate"

Harry sat up "Wha- What was that thing?"

"It's a dementor, one of the guards of Azkaban. It's gone out to search the train for Sirius Black" The man answered "If you can excuse me, I'm going to have a word with the driver"

He got up and left. Looking at me and smiling as he did

"What happened to me?" Harry asked

Ron answered him but I didn't care to listen. After all, my father just escaped Azkaban. It was that and the thought of "was that what I had to protect Harry from?". They continued talking about who knows what. I kept looking outside at the rain which was raining harder than before.

~

We were getting closer to arriving at Hogwarts

"Guys?" I said

"What's up?" Harry said

"Don't mind how insane I sound when I say this," I said "A few months ago I read a book called "The History of Godric's Hallow. And when it got to the part where, you know,"

They all nodded as Harry sighed

"I dropped them book and went to bed. But I had a nightmare about it happening so I woke up. Then I heard a woman's and mans whisper. And I think it was your parents Harry.." I said

"W-What did they say?" Harry asked

"They told me the same thing Dumbledore did last school year. But they added that they can't do much as spirits"

"What did Dumbledore tell you two!?" Hermione said

"You still haven't told us" Ron added

"We didn't tell you because we aren't allowed to" I sneered

The train stopped

"We're at Hogwarts!" Hermione smiled

~

"Welcome, Welcome to yet another year at Hogwarts, Now I'd like to say a few words before we all become to befuddled by our excellent feast today." Dumbledore spoke "First, I'm pleased to Welcome, Professor RJ Lupin who has kindly consented to fill the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Good luck Professor"

Everyone clapped as Professor Lupin stood up and took a small bow. I was sitting next to Hermione on the side near the walkway while Ron and Harry were on the other

"Potter, Potter!" Draco said

Ron and Harry turned around

"Is it true you fainted? I mean you actually fainted" Draco laughed as his friend "fainted"

"Shove off Malfoy" Ron said pushing Harry back towards me and Hermione

As Dumbledore announced that Hagrid was becoming a Professor, many people cheered and clapped.

"Finally on a more descriptive note, At the request of the Ministry of Magic. Hogwarts will ,until further notice, play host to the dementors of Azkaban until such time Sirius Black is captured. The dementors will be stationed at every entrance to the grounds. I'm sure their presence will not disturb our day-to-day activities"

People whispered around to other people in their house and in others. I was slightly shaking. I mean people would target me since, well, Sirius is my father

"A word of caution, dementors are vicious creatures they will not distinguish between the one they hunt and the one that gets in their way." Dumbledore continued "Therefore, I must warn each and every one of you to give them no reason to harm you."

He said more but I didn't pay attention. Food appeared and we all started eating

"Layla, please stay with at least one of us at all times alright?" Hermione asked

I nodded

"People might target you because of Sirius' escape" Harry said

"I know, hopefully I won't get targeted to bad.."
