-Leaving For Hogwarts

"LAYLA! HURRY UP YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE"

"IM COMING"

I ran down the stairs with my things. I saw Sirius talking with Remus. Remus came to over last night and he was staying over

"Ready?" Sirius asked

I nodded

"Go on. Put your things in the car" Sirius smiled

After I put my things in the car and sat in the backseat, Remus and Sirius got in

"You still have my birthday card?" Remus smiled

I nodded

"She kept everyone's card" Sirius said starting to drive

"Besides the point Dad" I said

"Let me have bonding time with my goddaughter" Remus laughed

I ran through the wall after saying bye to my dad and Remus. I spotted Harry and ran over to him

"Layla's here!" Hermione said excited

"Layla!" Harry said hugging me

I hugged him, Hermione, and Ron

"Let's go find a spot on the train before we have to split up" Ron said

The four of us found a open compartment and sat down. I was next to window with Harry on the other side of me, Hermione on the window side and Ron next to her

"I hope we don't almost die this year" I sighed

"Well we already almost died..." Ron said

"What?!" I said

"At the Quidditch World Cup. It's a long story but we were caught at the scene of a 'crime' and almost died" Hermione said

"Do I have to protect all of you this year?" I said

"Probably" Harry laughed

Practically everyone was outside looking at a Carriage type thing that was being pulled by unicorn looking things. And Hagrid almost died while he was directing the Carriage

"That's something you don't see everyday!" One of the twins said

Then a ship emerged from the water. Flags with a symbol were brought down. The ship went across the water and came closer to the school

"Now that we're all Settled in and sorted. I'd like to make an announcement" Dumbledore said "This castle will not only be your home this year, but home to so very special guests"

Flich ran through the great hall, as he did everyone looked at him confused

"You see, Hogwarts has been chosen-"

Flich went up and whispered something to Dumbledore. After they finished talking, Flich ran back down the Great Hall

"So, Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event. The Tri-Wizard tournament!" Dumbledore spoke "Now for those of you who do not know, the Tri-Wizard tournament brings together three schools, for a series of Magical contests. For each school a single student is selected to compete."

People started to whisper all around the room. Me and Harry looked at each other then back at Dumbledore

"Now let me be clear, if chosen, you stand alone. And trust me when I say, these contests are not for the faint hearted. But more of that later, now please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of magic, And their headmistress, Madame Maxime!"

The doors opened and ladies dressed in all blue walked in. They did this whole routine. As one girl came up and kneeled down next to Harry and Ron, they practically drooled

"Harry!" I whisper yelled

"S-sorry" he whispered

"It's fine. But you practically drooled over her" I whispered

The girls scattered and sat down

"And now, our friends from the north, Please great the proud sons of Durmstrang and the headmaster Igor!" Dumbledore spoke

During their entrance routine, If I'm honest, it kind of scared me. I know, I'm a wimp.

"Blimey, it's him! Viktor Krum!" Ron whisper yelled

It was announced that anyone under the age of 17, could not compete in the Triwizard tournament. A bunch of people 'boo'ed, including me. I honestly would have entered, yes I could've died, but I would've entered.

"SILENCE" Dumbledore yelled

Everyone quieted down quickly. Using his wand, Dumbledore uncovered a goblet looking thing. Whispers filled the room

"The goblet of fire. Anyone wishing to submit themselves into the tournament, will write their name on a piece of parchment and throw it into the flame before this hour on Thursday night. Do not do so lightly, if chosen, there's no turning back. As from this moment, the Tri-Wizard tournament has began." Dumbledore said

After everything went on we were heading back to our common rooms. I was walking with Harry, Hermione, and Ron

"Layla! Wait up!" Someone said behind me

"I'll see you guys at the common room" I said turning around

"Be back soon!" Harry laughed

I walked away and saw Lizzie and Brianne. Brianne walked me and Lizzie over towards the wall

"What's up?" I asked

"It's about Cedric" Lizzie said quickly

"He wants to enter the tournament" Brianne added

"What's so bad about it?" I said

"We can't lose him. What if he dies" Lizzie said

"It's because you're his girlfriend Lizzie. It's not a big deal" I said turning to leave

"Layla." Brianne started as she turned me back around

"I'm going to be entering too, and all I have to ask is-" She tried saying

"If anything happens to them, please save them." Lizzie finished

"How?" I asked fixing my bag around my shoulder

"As a swan. Do whatever you can please Layla" Lizzie said "I cant lose my best friends"

"I'll do what I can if one of you get picked" I smiled

"Thank you Layla. You can get back to your boyfriend Harry" Brianne laughed

"He isn't my boyfriend you dimwit" I sneered

"I swear if you don't ask that boy out soon-"

"We'll see you tomorrow Layla" Lizzie smiled grabbing Brianne's arm and walking away

I ran to find the trio again. I saw Harry walking slower than he usually does

"I'm back!" I said getting up to Harry

He smiled at me

"And why are you walking so slow?" I asked

"Hermione told me to wait for you but I didn't want to just stand in the middle of the hall" He said

"You didn't have to wait for me you know that right?"

"Yeah, but I wanted to" Harry smiled

I smiled but looked down as I felt heat rising to my cheeks

I'm not going to make Cedric die later in he chapters. 1. Because I don't want to make myself cry when I write it 2. Because 'Lizzie' is my friend and she would yell at me if I did make him die. And if you don't like it, leave😽
