*Layla's POV*
After breakfast and Hagrid's class we were going to Lupins class. We had to stay with our partner for the whole day, unless they were in a different house than you. Then you could go to different common rooms at the end of the day. I could see people who were happy with their partner and other people who hated their partner
"Look at Malfoy. He's partners with a Ravenclaw. He probably wants to die" I laughed
Harry laughed. We got to the classroom and walked in. Harry found us an open spot. I sat down next to him on the side next to the wall. Everyone got in and sat down
"Hello everyone. I hope you had an amazing weekend. Now.." Professor Lupin said
"Jeez" I said as I jumped
"Why do you always get scared whenever he talks" Harry whispered after he laughed
"Because he just starts talking out of nowhere" I whispered back
Harry shook his head as he laughed. Lupin continued on with the whatever the lesson was. I actually really enjoy his class. As he spoke I wrote notes done, answered questions, blah blah you get it. Soon enough the class was over. I stood up with Harry and we were about to leave when..
"Mr. Potter and Ms.Black, May I speak with you two for a moment?"
"Um," Me and Harry looked at each other "Sure"
We walked over to Lupin. All the other kids were gone at this point
"I've already told your next professor that you will be a few minutes late"
"Okay, um.." I started
"What did you need to tell us Sir?" Harry asked
"You two know who your parents are right?" Lupin asked as he started walking around the room
"I know who both of them are yes.." Harry said
"I only know who my father is" I sighed
"Good. You both look very much like your fathers. If that doesn't sound creepy" He laughed
"Were you friends with them?" Harry asked
"Of course! We were best friends" Lupin smiled
Me and Harry smiled
"Now Layla, since your father is Sirius Black, I will have to teach you and Harry something that will protect yourselves from dementors if you ever would need to"
I'm guessing Lupin new about what Dumbledore told me and Harry last year
"What is it?" I asked
"A spell called "Expecto Patronum", Watch me do it" Lupin smiled
I looked at Harry in confusion
"Expecto Patronum!" Lupin said as a blue-ish colored wolf appeared
"Woah" I said
"This, a Patronus, will only stay as long as you are concentrated" Lupin said "You first Harry"
Harry walked further to Lupin and took out his wand
"Expecto Patronum!" Harry called out
A blue-ish colored Stag ran around the room while Harry followed it with his eyes. I did too. It disappeared soon after.Lupin looked at me and I walked further to him. Harry walked back over to where he was before. I took out my wand and got ready
"Ready, Three, Two," Lupin said "One!"
"Expecto Patronum!" I said
A black swan started flying around me. I smiled at it, why? I don't know ask the swan.
"Very good!" Lupin smiled
It went away once I took my eyes off it
"So if we ever have to, use that on dementors?" Harry asked
Lupin nodded "Go on now! Can't be too late for your next class"
I laughed and ran out with Harry
~End of the day
I walked into the common room. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were all waiting for me on a couch. I had gotten detention for some stupid reason Snape said. I think it was because I pushed Malfoy? I don't know. I went over to the trio and sat down next to Harry
"How was it?" Ron laughed
"So boring and annoying" I yawned
*Harry's POV*
We were talking about anything that came to mind
"Layla, I think a few people want to talk to you.." Hermione said
Layla looked over and so did I. Seamus, Dean, and Neville were all 'staring' at us
"I should go talk to them," Layla said standing up "I'll be back"
Layla went over to the boys and started talking to them. Ron and Hermione were talking, so was I a bit, but i was mainly making sure nothing happened to Layla.
"Harry, stop staring" Ron said
"But-"
"Let them all talk for a bit" Hermione said before I could finish
"Whatever" I sighed
"What's bothering you so much anyway?" Hermione asked
"Whenever Layla is with them, especially Seamus, you get all 'jealous' Harry" Ron added
"It just seems like she's dating one of them." I said
"Maybe she is what's the problem?" Hermione said
"I just don't want her to get hurt. That's it" I answered
"It seems like Harry fancies someone" Ron laughed
"I don't-"
"You do"
"I don't"
"You do"
"I don't!"
"Stop! I did this with Layla last night about- Someone" Hermione said
"Who?!" Me and Ron both said
"Someone~" Hermione smirked
Just as Hermione finished saying that Layla came back over and sat by me
"What happened?" Ron asked
"Nothing major. I just told them I won't forget about them, blah blah" Layla said "What did I miss over here?"
"Nothing really Harry was just-" Ron started
"Shut it Ron" I said
"But you were-" Hermione said
"Shut it!"
"Layla Harry was-" Ron started saying again
"He said 'Shut it' so, Shut it!" Layla said
Hermione and Ron 'pouted'
"I'm bored" Ron said trying to change the subject
"Maybe later tonight we can," Layla said
She looked around the room and got closer to all of us
"Go to the astronomy tower and look at the stars?" She finished
"Yes! I'm on board" I said
"I'm up for that" Ron added
"I don't know guys we could get caught.." Hermione said
"Too bad. It's 3 to 1. You're beat" Layla laughed
"If we get caught it's your guys' fault!" Hermione said crossing her arms
"You're no fun Hermione" Ron said
We all laughed and continued talking
