The First Look

*Layla's POV*

I was woken up by Harry lightly shaking me

"Come on, we should get back to our dorms before we get caught up here" He said

I nodded and rubbed my eyes.I stood up fixing the hoodie I had on. It was still raining but the rain was coming down harder than it was. The wind pushing rain further than just a bit past the railing of the tower. As I looked over Harry was standing up fixing his jacket as well. We walked out as quietly as we could. After all, we weren't supposed to be out this late. It had to be at least 2am at this point. Harry heard someone coming and he lightly pulled me aside closer to the wall. Filch walked past the hallway we were in. I'm guessing he was checking for any students. Me and Harry quickly, but quietly, made our way to the Common Room

I had said goodnight to Harry and went to my dorm. When I walked in, Hermione was fast asleep. There was a book beside her. She may have been trying to stay up and wait for me but she must've fell asleep in the process. I went to my bed and laid down. Despite how tired I was, I couldn't fall asleep. The conversation I had with Harry tonight stayed in the back of my mind. Just about every question you could ask yourself about that moment, it was in my mind. Who could he be questioning about fancying? Was it me? Or Hermione? Or another girl? I soon fell asleep after what seemed like hours of questions roaming my mind. I feel asleep even though all those questions were still in my mind

-The day of Finding Sirius

I woke up to Hermione lightly shaking me

"Layla? What happened last night?"

"Huh?"

"It looks like you were crying.."

"I..I don't think I was crying"

"Okay.. But you can always talk to me" She said and smiled a bit

I got up from my bed and fixed the covers. I went and got ready

When I was done getting ready I went out to Hermione. We walked into the common room. After we saw Harry and Ron we walked over to them

"Morning" I yawned

"Morning" Ron smiled

"Layla, it looks like you were-" Harry started

"Crying? I know. Hermione already pointed that out. I didn't even know I was crying last night"

We were eating breakfast in the great hall. As usual.

"Ron! That's your fourth plate!" Hermione said punching Ron's arm

"And?" He said shoving food into his mouth

"You don't need that much food!"

Harry laughed as he continued eating

"But I'm hungry!" Ron whined

"So am I but I don't eat five plates of food in one meal. Do I? No" I added

Ron whined again as he shoved more food into his mouth

"Just finish that plate and stop eating breakfast!" Hermione said

"Why?" Ron groaned

"You're a dimwit" I said

Harry laughed, then Hermione, and Ron laughed a bit

I had a free period today so I decided to go sit in the courtyard. As I walked there, Brianne came up to me

"Hey Layla" She smiled

"Hi Brianne" I smiled

I sat down under a tree with Brianne next to me

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with Lizzie and Cedric?" I asked

"They wanted 'alone' time," Brianne said "I bet it's because one of them is going to ask the other one out"

"Wait? They fancy each other?!" I said

"Yep. Well, I know Lizzie fancys Cedric. I'm not too sure about if Cedric fancy's Lizzie. It's a bit confusing"

"So you're like their third wheel?" I laughed

"Pretty much. It gets boring sometimes, you know? Just always having to be the third wheel" She said

"I know how you feel, I'm basically a fourth wheel"

She looked at me confused "Fourth wheel?"

"Yeah, how I'm friends with the trio? They always go do things together and I'm just in the back because 'Layla, you aren't strong enough'. It's stupid" I said

"Ohh. And, you know, you're pretty strong for your age" She smiled

"You aren't to bad yourself" I laughed

We started talking about a lot of stuff. Brianne is easy to talk to. She listens to everything you say, doesn't make it about her, blah blah, she's basically just a therapist. After we talked for awhile Lizzie and Cedric came over to where we were and sat down

"Where have you two love birds been?" Brianne teased

"It's none of your business" Lizzie said quickly

"We were just talking, that's it" Cedric said nudging Lizzie

"I doubt it. You both are as red as a tomato, and Lizzie, you are kind of holding Cedric's hand" I said

"Shut it! I'm not!" Lizzie said removing her hand from Cedric's

"Whatever you say" I said

We all talked for a bit before I got up

"I should go back to the trio before they think I died" I said getting up

"See you later Layla!" Brianne smiled

I walked off looking for the trio, or even just one of them. I saw Harry talking to someone, three people, no, four people. Ron, the twins, and a girl who look very similar to them. I walked over to them all

"Hi! Am I interrupting something?" I said

"No no. You're fine" Harry smiled

"Who's that" The ginger girl said

"That's Lay-" Ron started

"I'm Layla, Layla Black. And you are?" I said

"Ginny, Ginny Weasley"

"Why are there so many Weasleys" I laughed

"She's the youngest," George started

"And I doubt mum will have another kid" Fred finished

"We should head to class before we're late. It was nice meeting you, Ginny" I smiled

I walked away, Harry and Ron following

"You like her?" Ron asked

"I mean, yeah? Why do you ask?"

"Well, you wanted to leave right after you met her.." Harry added

"Because we have class you dimwits" I said
