*Layla's POV*
"What did you two do?!" Me and Harry said at the same time
"Well um, Ron told" Hermione started
"No Hermione" Ron said
"So you two told people we were dating?!" I asked
"Yeah.." They both said
"I'm going to kill you both when I get the chance" I said giving them a death stare
"Why? Why did you?" Harry asked
"Because, you two would look-" Ron started
"No! We aren't dating! Get that through your head before I kill you!" I said hitting Ron on his head
I stood up and walked out of the common room.
"Layla!" Harry called
I ignored him as I walked
"You dimwits!" I could hear Harry say to Ron and Hermione
I was walking to courtyard when someone called my name
"Layla?"
I turned around and saw a hufflepuff coming towards me
"You okay?"
It was Brianne. She gave me worried look as she wiped the tears that I didn't even know were on my face
"I'm fine.."
"No, what's going on?" Brianne asked walking me to a bench
"Two of my friends made a rumor about me" I said
"What is this rumor?"
"That I'm dating my best friend.."
She sighed
"That's about you?" She asked
"Yeah" I replied
She hugged me quickly
"I'm sorry Layla. Who are the people who started it? And who are you "dating" ?" She said
"Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley started it about me and Harry Potter"
"The Harry Potter?" She said as her eyes got big
"Yes, that Harry" I laughed
"If you ever need someone to "kill" them.. Come to me and Lizzie. We'll deal with it" Brianne smiled
"Bri? What's going on?" A voice said
"Oh Hey Lizzie! I found Layla walking alone so I talked to her"
I waved to Lizzie and she waved back
"Well Cedric was wondering where you went" Lizzie said "He'll be out here soon if-"
Speak of the devil. Cedric walked towards us
"Well, what's going on?!" Cedric asked confused
"I'll tell you in the common room Ced. I'll see you tomorrow Layla" Brianne said standing up
"Bye!" I said
The three of them waved goodbye and disappeared down the hall. I went back to the Gryffindor common room not too long after. As I was walking I bumped into someone
"Bloody Hell" We both said
It was Harry
"I was looking for you. Where have you been?" Harry asked
"I needed space after, you know, I threatened to kill Hermione and Ron" I softly laughed
He laughed as well
"We should get back to the common room. I don't think we should be out here this late"
"You're right. Let's go!" I said pulling his arm
"This again?" Harry laughed
"Yep!" I smiled
When we got closer to the common room, I let go of his arm. Once we got to the room he said the password and we walked in. People were whispering as we walked by and I gave them dirty looks
"I'm going to bed. Night Harry!" I said
"Night Layla" Harry smiled
I walked right past Ron and Hermione and to the stairs up to my door
"Why's she going up there?" I heard Ron say
"Cause 1. She's probably tried 2. She's still mad at you two" I heard Harry reply
I laughed lightly and entered my dorm. I changed into a T-Shirt and sweatpants and got into bed. I still had no clue why Hermione and Ron started that rumor about me and Harry. I understand they want us to get together but we're best friends
*Harry's POV*
"Why's she going up there?" Ron asked me
"Cause 1. She's probably tried 2. She's still mad at you two" I replied
"Can she just talk to us. I want to explain why" Hermione said
"Talk to her tomorrow. I don't know if she'll want to but it's worth a try" I said "But at least tell me why first"
"It's mainly just the fact we want you two to get together.." Ron said
"So making a rumor would make it true?" I said sarcastically
"Everything is worth a try, you know?" Hermione added
"True, but you know Layla. You know how she'd react"
"We didn't think that far" The two of them said looking at each other
I laughed and changed the subject. They weren't the only ones wanting it to be true..
*Cedric's POV*
"So what happened with Layla?" I asked Brianne
"Her two friends made a rumor that her and her best friend, Harry Potter, are dating" Brianne replied
"I mean, they do look cute together" I said
"Cedric!" Brianne said punching my arm
Lizzie laughed
"What?" I said "It's true"
Brianne shook her head and laughed
"You know that ruby necklace you said you both liked that Layla had?" I asked Brianne and Lizzie
"Yeah why?" They both said
"Harry gave her that for Christmas" I said
"No way!" Lizzie said
"Yes way" I laughed
"Ok now I kind of agree with you" Brianne added
"Me too" Lizzie laughed
"Finally!" I smiled
We started talking about different things. But it was true, almost everyone that knew Layla and Harry, thought they would look cute together. Even if they did date, they're still very young so I doubt it would last
