-The Yule ball

*Layla's POV*

Welp. It's the night of the Yule Ball, and I still don't have a date.

"Layla, you don't have to go if you don't want to" Hermione sighed as I did her hair

"I can't miss out on this. And plus, I want this dress to go to use" I said

"But you don't have a date"

"You've made that clear enough"

I finished doing her hair. I curled mine a bit but I had a bit of my natural curls so I didn't need it much. Me and Hermione started walking to where everyone else was

*Harry's POV*

"Poor girls. I bet their alone in their room crying" Ron said

"Who?" I asked

"Layla and Hermione, of course" Ron said "Come on Harry, why do you think Hermione wouldn't tell us who's she going with? And why Layla never spoke about having a date?"

"Because we'd take the Mickey out of them if we did" I said

"Nobody asked them. I would've taken Hermione myself if she weren't so bloody proud"

*Layla's POV*

As I walked down the stairs, Hermione hiding behind the wall, I saw Harry and Ron with the Patil twins with McGonagall. Great, Harry took one of the Patil twins.

"Um, you look amazing!" Someone said

I looked up and saw Brianne, with the one and only, Fred Weasley

"You look amazing as well!" I smiled

She was wearing a yellow dress. Somewhat like mine

"Ahhh, got a date I see" I joked

"Shush" Brianne said turning red

"You must be Layla" Fred smiled

"That's me" I laughed

"Come on, we got to find a seat." Brianne said "Care to join us?"

"I'd love too. Besides, Hermione is hiding behind a wall" I said

Fred and Brianne laughed. We walked in and found a spot

"Still don't have a date?" She said

"Nope" I answered

"I'm surprised you didn't go with Harry," Fred said "He seems to really like you"

"I think he's going with one of the Patil twins, so it wouldn't matter" I said

"You fancy him don't you Layla?" Brianne asked

"I mean, kind of"

"Fred, you don't know how long she's been putting that off. Every time I would ask her about it she denied it" Brianne said

Fred shook his head and laughed. I saw Ron walk into with one of the Patil twins. That means Harry went with the other twin. I don't know their names. I wouldn't want to know anyway. After a few minutes and once everyone had gotten into the Great Hall, the doors opened and the champions walked in. Fleur with some guy, Krum with Hermione, Cedric with Lizzie, and Harry with one of the Patil twins. As they walked onto the dance floor, they started dancing. Teachers and other students joined in

I looked over and saw Hermione talking with Ron as Harry sat in between them not saying anything. After Hermione and both the Patil twins were gone, I went up to Harry and Ron
