Junior walked into the club Sage and Trina were shot in last year, with the bullets meant for him. A night that solved his then problem, and almost shattered his world. He didn't dwell on the wound Sage had received to her abdomen, instead he was grateful it wasn't critical.
He shook the thoughts away as he glanced around. It was empty, except for a few employees wandering around in uniform.
It looked like a fancy restaurant during the day, with marble floors and a dark coloured theme. The cream sofas were the ones that broke the deep brown and he noticed a few decorative ornaments that hid in the night time.
Junior walked to the long black bar and greeted the person behind it.
"Wassup man?" Wes responded and they dapped each other.
"Nothing, how's business?" Junior sat on a stool and Wes turned his back to him in search for a drink from the shelves that were decked out with different bottles against the mirrored wall.
"It's good, after clearance from 5.0, I got back into it," Wes spoke as he placed two glasses before Junior and poured brown liquor into them, "Ever got the shooters?"
"They vanished into thin air," Junior shrugged, "I ain't worried though."
Wes raised an eyebrow, "Shouldn't you be? I mean, they wanted you."
"It's been three months on the run, there must be a reason for that. Doubt they'd show face," Junior grabbed a glass and sipped from it.
Wes nodded, "Aight, so wassup? You wanna join the club scene?"
"Yeah, and you the man to help me," Junior pointed at Wes.
"You ready for random shoot outs?" Wes asked leaning on the counter.
"Nigga, who am I?"
Wes chuckled, "I'm willing to help a brother out," he took a chug from his glass, "I need to hear what you see in your club, a business plan of sorts and we take it from there."
"Okay, I can get that sorted by next week," Junior said looking at Wes.
"I'm glad you're going straight," Wes commented, "Might be hard at first, with people out for your head even when you're out of the game or you missing the fast life but you got this."
"Doubt imma miss this life, I got kids on the way, don't wanna risk their lives," Junior admitted.
That was his main reason for venturing into opening a club, he didn't want his kids having a criminal father for a role model.
"Word?" Wes asked surprised.
Junior smirked, "Yeah, three Junior's."
Wes laughed, "Congrats bro! Shit, JR about to be a father? Who would've thought?"
Junior chuckled, shaking his head in thought. He was about to speak when a dark guy approached the them. Junior had seen him before, he just couldn't recall where.
"Wes," the guy greeted and exchanged handshakes and fist bumps with him.
"Wassup cuz," Wes said then pointed towards Junior, "This my homeboy, Junior. Junior, this is my cousin, Aiden."
Junior gave a head nod and Aiden acknowledged it.
"We still on?" Aiden asked Wes.
"Yeah, sure," he faced Junior, "We done over here?"
"Yeah, imma hit you up once that plan is set up," Junior said and stood up.
"Aight," Wes said and dapped Junior up.
