Their celebratory breakfast was in full swing as the entire family gathered around the massive dining table, a pleasant meal that actually didn't end up with someone killing each other. There had never been so much laughter around a table with so many Mikaelsons. Isa and Nik sat opposite each other at the heads of the table, while Hope was sat comfortably in her father's lap as he cut some pieces of pancake to feed to her, the girl laughing as she stole the plastic fork from his hand as she put the pancake in her own mouth. Isa was in love with the look on Nik's face as he wiped up Hope's face and she reached for more pancakes. Rebekah and Marcel were on Isa's left and Freya on her right. Kol and Davina sat between Freya and Nadia while Katherine and Elijah sat on the opposite side next to Rebekah. The two witches were chatting casually as Isa was speaking with Rebekah and Marcel, reminiscing about old times. It felt like eons since they were able to actually sit and talk and enjoy one another's company without the threat of someone trying to kill them.

When Hope had enough pancakes Nik stood, his daughter held so gently in his arms as he rubbed her back, getting ready to burp her. It was small things like that just seemed to come so naturally to him, to just know what she needed before she needed it. His family fell silent as they noticed him stand and Nik began to speak.

"First, I want to thank each and every one of you, for what you risked and what you all sacrificed and endured in the name of protecting my daughter. Not only did we succeed in besting our enemies, but we kept our family together, even gained some new members, and some old ones," he smiled at Freya and Davina and then to Kol. "Secondly, thanks to Aunt Dahlia, the last stake made of white oak is finally no more. So, as much as of a pain you all can be, no one will be dying from now on," Nik joked and was met with laughs and a couple of glares, namely from his wife whom he just winked at. "And thirdly," he said with a smirk as he swayed slightly with Hope. "Most of you are aware of this, but yesterday, we were given the news that Hope is to become a big sister."

Davina and Marcel's eyes widened as all eyes fell on Isa who only smiled. "I took a test and Freya's diagnosis was indeed correct. I am pregnant, again."

The table was amassed with congratulations and snide jokes about Nik becoming a father again from his brothers which he quickly shut down citing impressionable ears.

"So," Nik said loudly as he raised his glass of orange juice. "Here is to Isa's next pregnancy being less eventful than the first one. Here is to the defeat of our Aunt Dahlia. Here is to us being orphans and finally rid of our parents. Here is to our family being reunited and may we stay that way always and forever. Here is to the Mikaelsons. Cheers."

"Cheers," they echoed as their glasses touched and Nik sat back down but Hope was taken by her mother who brought her down to the other end of the table as the girl was content to fiddle with Isa's wedding ring, the huge diamond captivating to the little girl.

"She's absolutely precious," Freya marveled as the girl gurgled. "And I'm sure you're next child will be just the same."

"Thank you," Isa said before she regarded Freya. "Do you want to hold her?"

"May I?" Freya asked in surprise and Isa nodded.

"Of course," she assured her as she handed over Hope who seemed a lot more trusting of her Aunt now, just like the rest of their family. Freya seemed to be pinching herself every few minutes to prove that this wasn't a dream, that she actually had the family that she dreamed about.

"How lucky you are," Rebekah sighed, her tone not envious but rather full of longing. "Do you think this one is another girl? Another girl would stop Katherine from stealing Hope from me."

"I do not steal Hope from you! You steal her from me!" Katherine exclaimed from the other end of the table, uncaring that she'd just cut Elijah off from what he was saying.

"I do not!"

"You do too!"

"Ok, can we cease these talks about stealing my daughter before I steal her from you both for good?" Isa pointed out and the two of them were silenced.

"Hey, we've had this talk," Marcel said as he squeezed Rebekah's hand. "We can adopt. We are going to have a family."

"I know," she said with a small grin as she gazed at him. "But still to have children of my own... And I-"

"Freya," Isa interjected. "You know how Esther gave me the ability to conceive?"

"Yes?" Freya answered as she held Hope.

"Do you think that it is at all possible for me to carry children that are not my own?" Isa wondered and Rebekah sat up bolt right in her chair, her eyes shining with disbelief.

"You mean like a surrogacy?" Freya clarified as Isa nodded as her sister considered her words. "A few months ago, perhaps I would've said it wouldn't be possible, but in light of recent events, much like this little miracle I'm holding, I would say that it might be possible."

"Icy, would you - I mean, would you really do this for us?" Rebekah whispered as if not daring to believe it as tears threatened to fall and she squeezed Marcel's hand so tightly it was shy of bones breaking but he didn't mind.

Isa smiled as she regarded her sister. "You are my family. I would do a lot more if it meant your happiness. And why not put my ability to good use? I mean, what's nine months of my life when we live forever?"

Rebekah was crying openly as she stood and rounded the corner of the table to hug her sister. "I have often said that the smartest thing Niklaus ever did was marry you and I have never agreed with that statement more."

"Cheers to that!" said both Kol and Katherine before they looked at each other in confusion as their respective partners laughed at them and Nik glared at all of them.

"I take the time and effort to concoct a plan to kill our evil aunt and plan a celebratory breakfast for you all and this is how I get treated," he grumbled as he reached for his mimosa.

Isa laughed at her husband as she blew him a kiss from the other side of the table and the corners of his lips lifted.

They came through on the promise they made months ago in Arkansas.

This was their family.
