The wedding was today and Isa had been in the middle of ordering around people to set the tables when she had a phone call that had her dropping the champagne flute in her hand. Elijah had been the one to call and inform her that they were inbound to New Orleans with Hope after Finn's attempt to get to her. He assured her that her daughter was fine, the girl simply giggling as if she knew who was on the other side of the phone. And it took everything in Isa not to drop everything and meet them halfway, so Rebekah threw her back into the deep end of wedding preparations.

The bride, Kirsten was upstairs having her last fitting done while Julian was tending to the wolves. The rest of Marcel's vampires had been bewitched by Finn's dark magic to kill werewolves, the spell that broke when he died but 5 alphas of other packs were dead. They knew it wasn't the vampires' fault, but the wolves were still angry. And they couldn't be like that if they were to attend the wedding where vampires would be present and the wolves were supposed to be unified as one and finally have control over their turning as Julian did.
Though, the very second Isa heard the sound of the compound doors opening, she whirled, ignoring whatever person she had been speaking to about centerpieces as she became a blur and ran into the courtyard. She stopped dead centre, her heels skidding to a stop as Elijah and Katherine walked in at a hurried pace as if they were scared they were being followed. They weren't, but even if they were, Isa's only concern right now was in the baby that was clutched in Katherine's arms.

"Are you sure it's safe for us to be here?" Katherine asked as she and Elijah neared, Elijah with a hand on Katherine's back.

"Nik and I took special precautions. No one without a written invite to the wedding can enter the compound. And it's going to be filled with an army of wolves and vampires, all on our side tonight. So yes, it's safe," she answered as Katherine handed over a smiling Hope. "Hi, baby girl. I've missed you," Isa said as she gently bounced her daughter, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "I have the prettiest little dress for you to wear tonight. You are going to outshine the brides."

Before either of the couple could question Isa's use of the plural word 'brides, Nik's voice bellowed through the air as he came down the stairs holding a wedding dress. "Isa! Is this the one you wanted? You said the one in the back but -" Nik cut himself off as he saw who had arrived and who Isa was holding.

"Yes, that's the one, Nik," Isa smirked as she held their daughter, the girl clinging to her mother's neck before her eyes seemed to sparkle as her father appeared in her eyeline. Nik broke into a grand smile as he descended the stairs, giving Elijah and Katherine quick hugs before he exchanged the wedding dress for his daughter. And Hope seemed to snuggle into her father's gentle embrace as he held her, knowing that she was finally safe now that she was back with her parents. Isa, in the meantime, held up the wedding dress against Katherine's body. "This is the most Katherine Pierce wedding dress I've got. It's a bit showy, with spaghetti straps and a deep sweetheart neckline and all that, but yet modest enough for a wedding dress, since I know your groom is a bit old-fashioned. And naturally, there's a bit of lace and the tulle skirt. I even have a diamond belt if you -"

"Uh, what on earth are you talking about? Why would I be wearing a wedding dress?" Katherine interrupted, her heart beating in her throat right now.

Isa gave them a cheeky smile as snaked an arm around her, Hope still perfectly content to fiddle with her father's necklaces as he held her with his other arm. "Well, things have been kind of bad lately and we thought we could do with some good. Say like watching the two of you get married today alongside Julian and Kirsten?" she suggested sheepishly as Katherine simply gaped at her.
