It had taken a lot of effort but now, Rebekah was finally unlinked from those children and from Davina. However, she had also been the one to discover that Nik had disappeared from his coffin and from the compound. And while they fretted about how that was even possible, Nik was gorging himself on blood and on humans that were kindly provided by his aunt. Now, he sat in his son's house as he awaited his arrival.
"If you find him keep your distance. Call me. I'll handle it," Marcel ordered his vampires over the phone.
"Sound advice. Although I do wonder how you would handle me," Nik asked softly as he rose from his chair, face blank but eyes furious.
Marcel raised his hands up in a gesture for Nik to calm down. "Now before you get angry-"
Nik sped to him and pinned him to the wall by his neck. "I am well past angry, Marcellus. I am mad with rage. My wife and daughter were stolen from me and my own son was part of the plot to put a dagger into my chest."
"I wasn't part of it!"
"And yet you were content to let me rot in a coffin."
"Father, have you ever tried going up against Elijah?! He stopped me and Katherine! We tried, we really did! I swear-"
Nik let him go. "You swear? You swear to me that you're not lying?"
Marcel slipped his ring off his finger, the very one his mother had given him centuries ago. It was infused with vervain and while it had burned his skin when he'd first placed it on, it was far better to accustom himself to that pain than to the pain of drinking vervain. The best part was that no one else knew about the magical properties that the ring possessed. "Ask me if I'm lying to you." He handed over the ring that sizzled on Nik's palm but he hardly felt it with all the pain he'd endured recently.
"Very well," Nik relented. "I shall believe your words but there is something I need from you and I don't think you're equipped to handle it without the proper encouragement," he said as he held Marcel's face, staring deep into his eyes as he started to compel him. "Now listen closely. Here's what I want you to do."

Nik had compelled his son to stop his lover as she was still inside her witch body and a crucial component of his sibling's plan to attempt to kill Dahlia. And whilst Marcel took care of Rebekah, Dahlia took great pleasure in the fearful expression on Freya's face before she sent her niece off to sleep early. That then left Nik to deal with Elijah. And there was no golden dagger for him to cheat his way out of the fight this time. In fact, Elijah was losing rather badly because not only was his brother stronger than him, but he'd never seen Niklaus filled with such fury.
"YOU STOLE MY FAMILY!" Nik bellowed as he threw Elijah into the wall, his elbow contacting with his cheek soon after. "YOU LET THEM PUT A DAGGER THROUGH ISA'S HEART! YOU BELIEVED A PACK OF MUTTS OVER YOUR OWN WIFE! OVER YOUR OWN BROTHER!"
"She will take everything from us," Elijah groaned as Klaus strangled him, the hybrid's face seething with rage as he shoved his brother into the stone wall.
"YOU TOOK EVERYTHING FROM ME! You broke our vow! So, perhaps, I'll take everything from you," Nik promised wickedly, as he glanced at the gold ring on his brother's finger and Elijah's heart sank. He may be going through a rough patch with Katherine but she was still his wife, still the love of his life, and still his everything. Elijah pushed Nik off him and they both tumbled down the stairs. As Nik got to his feet, he laughed at his brother's vampire face, fangs out and eyes red, a face that he hardly ever let see the sun. It was then that Katherine's heels clicked on the concrete as she emerged out into the courtyard, and Nik's evil grin grew. "You did this to yourself," he growled at Elijah before he sped towards Katherine faster than she could process.
