School was just a meer 2 weeks away and Addie still didn't have any of her school supplies.
"Mom! I need to go to a place called Diagon Alley for all my school supplies! That's what the letters and Professor McGonagall said to go. I need my books, potion supplies, school robes and I need a wand!" she said in a nervous tone. Her mother agreed and said that they would follow the directions the the letter gave them on how to get to Diagon Alley.

The next day Addies mother rounded up all the kids into the car and ventured to find the Leaky Caldron. "I've never heard of the Leaky Caldron" said Addies mother "I wonder where it is, I sure hope we don't get lost". After about an hour of looking through London Addie saw the sign. "Mom look! There it is do you see it? I think we just go through there."

They made it to Diagon Alley with no problems which She thought was lucky. They went through every shop and store until they had what they needed. Addie was taken back by everything she saw. She had never seen anything like it before. Everything was different, not like the stores she went to growing up. She saw brooms and cauldrons, magical creatures and the thing that she was most excited for was the wands.

She got her very own wand.

She walked into a small shop called Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands. When the door opened a small bell rang and out stepped a small old man with gray hair. He looked like he was fragile and at any moment could break. "Ah, Adelaide Ivy Stewart, what a pleasure to meet you." He said walking up to the counter where Addie stood. "You know my name?" She said to him. "Of course I know who you are, I knew you would be coming to see me sometime soon. I give almost everyone their first wand and I remember every wand I have ever sold." The old man said. Mr. Ollivander stared at Addie for a brief moment before turning around and reaching for a small box on one of the many shelves. "Here" he said pulling the wand out of the box and handing it to Addie. "Try this one, go on give it a wave." And just as she raised her hand and overwhelming feeling of warmth filled her body. She had never felt that way before. The feeling was euphoric. She felt every nerve in her body tingle and she felt like sparks were  flying out of her body. This wand was the one. It chose her and she would never forget this day in her life.

As she was leaving Ollivanders Wand shop she got distracted by some commotion outside of the shops. She went to look but was suddenly knocked to the ground dropping her wand and all her books with her.
"Oh my- I'm so sorry, are you okay?" She heard a young voice say to her.
"No I'm not okay, I've dropped all my things!"she said back. She looked up to see a young ginger haired boy look back at her with his hand extended out to help her up. "Let me help you up" he said "I'm so sorry, I didn't see you standing there. Hey George help me get her books." Addie looked to her right to see another ginger haired boy who looked exactly like the first. They both helped her up and gave her the things she dropped. "Are you alright?" Said George. "Yes thank you I'll be fine. I just hope my glass phials didn't break." Replied Addie. "You'll be fine." Said the first ginger "They're really hard to break" he said with a sly grin while looking at his twin. "Are you going to Hogwarts?" George asked her. "Uhm yes! I am. I've never been there before, well I've never been here before either. This is my first time in Diagon Alley." She said with a sparkle in her eyes. "Wow, I'm willing to be you're a muggle born too?" Said the first boy. "What's a muggle?" Addie said with annoyance in her voice. "Non-magic folk. Are your parents witches or wizards?" George said looking at her curiously. "No. I'm the first person in my family to get a letter to Hogwarts, my brothers are hoping to get one when they get older."
They talked for a while longer until a kind looking ginger haired lady walked toward them. "Fred! George! I've been looking all over for you two! I swear, you two will be the death of me. C'mon now we have to go. Hurry up!"
The twins face turned a nice shade of red before Fred spoke, "Well we hope to see you at school! It was nice meeting you. Oh! By the way, I'm Fred. Fred Weasley, and this is George. And I didn't catch your name?"
"Adelaide Stewart, but my friends call me Addie." She replied.
"Well, See you at school Addie!" The boys said in unison before running off to catch up with their mother.

A sense of relief rush over Addie as she walked over to her mother. She wasn't so nervous about starting school. At least she knew two people now.
