The rest of February and March had flown by in a blur of books and quills. Classes were starting to prepare for end of the year tests and Addie had spent the past month writing essay after essay. A lot of the teachers had lacked when it came to school work in February because of the tournament, which led to an overload of class work being taken back to their dorms. On top of the school work Addie spent the last couple of weeks planning the perfect birthday party for the twins. They were turning 17 and that ment they were finally of age, and they couldn't be more excited. Molly had sent Addie their gifts she had made for them so she was in charge of making sure the boys got their gifts exactly at midnight. When she had given them her gifts the twins ripped open the wrapping to reveal matching socks she had knitted herself. The boys laughed as they slipped their socks in their feet and admired them by the fire.

Addie had recruited Ron and Ginny to help with the planning of the party because Ron had complained last year that she didn't include him. He thought that if he helped with the party he didn't have to get them a gift.

"Addie, c'mon. I'm hungry and tired. Harry kept me up last night, he talks in his sleep you know." Whined Ron after having to carry down a bag of lights to hang in the trees.

"Yes Ron, you've mentioned it before, and I'm sure this won't be the last time."

"Well I'm just saying..." he sighed as he leaned back against a tree. Ginny was coming down the hill with Scotty carrying a bench to put around the fire pit. Addie had planned the party down by the lake. It was still to cold to swim but a giant bonfire would be the perfect party. She had convinced a couple seventh year Hufflepuffs to cast a silencing charm so no one could hear the party at the castle. The lake was far enough from the castle that you wouldn't be able to see anything going on down there but the noise would have been too much.

The opening by the lake was coming together and Addie was trying to hurry and finish she she could get dressed and give Fred his gift before the party. She had told Ron, Ginny and Scotty that they could head back to the castle and she would put the finishing touches to the tables. She was almost done when one of the lights fell off the branch in the tree above her. Addie climbed up the ladder so she could re-hang the lights in the trees. The ground was rather bumpy so the ladder shook as she walked up the steps. She reached out to place the light over the broken branch but she leaned to far forward causing the ladder to slip out from under her. She could feel the tree scrape against her skin as she fell off the ladder. The ground was cold and rock hard as she slammed into it on her side, her right arm taking the most of the impact. She was writhing in pain as she was almost certain that she had broken her arm. Just as she was about to call out for help she remembered that the silencing charm had already been cast so there was no point in trying to call out. She tried to get up but the pain in her arm was blinding, she just laid there for a few moments before a familiar voice rang in her ears.

"Adelaide! Adelaide! Oh shit... are you okay?" Cedric fell to his knees and leaned over her head to get her attention. "I saw you fall so I ran over, I didn't see anyone around. How bad are you hurt?" He tried to help her up but she screamed when he grabbed her broken arm. The pain was almost unbearable, it felt like knives stabbing into her arm over and over again.

"Fuck... we have to get you to Madam Pomfrey." He whispered as he was starting to panic. Tears were streaming down her face as Cedric grabbed her and picked her up off the ground and held her close in his arms trying not to rock her. It was Saturday and a lot of the students were outside because of the nice weather, they all began to whisper as Cedric carried her up the hill. The pain of her arm was getting worse and all she could do was sob, grabbing the attention of everyone around them.

Cedric finally made it to the courtyard where Fred was playing gobstones with Lee, like they did every Saturday morning. Fred had just managed to get squirted by the liquid causing him to stand up and see Cedric holding Addie. He could hear he faint cries as Cedric walked over to him.
