It had been almost 2 months since Fred and Addie decided to part ways, and it had been really hard for the both of them in the beginning. Addie was used to running to Fred whenever she had a problem or the latest gossip about someone at Hogwarts. Fred found comfort in Addie and missed that she was gone. She was the only consistent in his life other than his family.

The day after their fight in the hospital wing Fred went straight to McGonagall's office to remove Divinations off his class schedule, but it was too late, all the other classes were filled. He now had to sit through Trelawney's class and see Addie for the rest of the year. It was especially hard on some days to ignore Addie because when Trelawney couldn't make it to class, Addie taught the lessons. Today was an especially hard day for Fred because word around the castle was that Cedric and Addie were officially together. Fred would sometimes see them together walking around, holding hands, or kissing in stair wells. Fred hated Cedric with every bone in his body. One day when he was walking through the courtyard between classes he saw Addie and Cedric leaned up against the wall of the castle, talking and laughing. Fred tried to block them out until he made eye contact with Cedric. Cedric stared him down and grabbed ahold of Addie's waist before giving Fred a quick wink  as he made his way down to her neck, kissing it as he walked by.

Fred felt sick at the thought of them together, but it wasn't in a jealous way like before. Something was wrong with the way Cedric looked at Addie when they were together. It seemed almost lustful, like he was putting on a show and Addie was the star. Addie didn't seem to be bothered by it though. She loved all the attention she was getting from Cedric, it was electric. They spent most of their free time together, laughing, teasing, and kissing. A lot of kissing. Cedric was a prefect and a quidditch captain at this time, so Professor Sprout saw it fit to give him is own room, even though other prefects still had to share dorms with the other students. He was favorited over a lot of students and everyone knew it, Addie felt lucky to be with him. She spent a lot of time in Cedric's dorm, where they could be alone, and no one would bother them. It was in that room, after hours of kissing and touching, when Cedric asked her to be his girlfriend.

Professor Trelawney decided that she wasn't going to teach class today because she felt closed off to the spirits and couldn't go forth until the pathway was open again, so she asked Addie to teach. Addie walked to the middle of the class and Fred noticed that she looked different. Something was off about her, but he couldn't put his finger on what it was. Addie was wearing her robes over grey and yellow plaid pants that matched her house colors and a long black turtleneck that rose just underneath her chin. She looked exhausted standing up there, like she hadn't slept in days. Addie was in the middle of talking about some of of the signs and symbols that were pictured in their class book when she sat the book down to put her hair up. Fred watched carefully, observing her every move as she put her hair in a high ponytail. Addie's robe sleeve fell slightly revealing a black mark on her wrist. He couldn't quite make out what it was from the distance between them, but it closely resembled the letter 'C'. Fred felt his body heat up at the thought of Addie having Cedric' initial on her wrist.

"George, Psst! George!" Fred whispered aggressively at him trying to get his attention. "George, look at Addie' wrist, what do you see?"

George rolled his eyes at his brother. "Freddie, this is a little obsessive. I don't see anything on her wrist, you're just trying to find new things to be mad about. Yesterday it was the way she wore her skirt. I can't keep up."

"Yesterday her skirt was too short and you agreed with me, and whenever she wears that skirt Cedric can't keep his damn hands off of her, its revolting. But besides that, I think that she has tattoo of a 'C' on her wrist for Cedric." Fred narrowed his eyes trying to get a better look. He didn't take his eyes off of her the rest of the class period. Addie dismissed the class giving them homework due Monday about the different signs and symbols in astrology. Fred was the last one to pack his things waiting for everyone to leave. He finally got up and walked towards Addie who was packing up her things at her desk. She felt a presence behind her as she folder up papers to put in her bag.

"If you have questions about the assignment, I have office hours posted outside the classroom..." She turned to see Fred hovering over her. He scared her so she fell back onto the table behind her. "Fuck, Fred you scared the shit out of me, what do you want?" Without speaking he grabbed her arm and pulled her sleeve down revealing a small black 'C' on the outside of her wrist. It had a red circle surrounding it with a tiny little heart off to the side.

"You have a tattoo Ads?" His voice was deep, it made her stomach sink. "When did you get this? Why would you get a tattoo of Cedric's initial?" He was practically yelling at her in the small classroom.

She ripped her arm out of his grasp and pulled her sleeve back down over her wrist. "Uhm, I haven' talked to you in months and this is the first thing you say to me? I don't have to tell you anything Fred, I can do what I want. And not that its any of your business, but Cedric gave it to me last night after he asked me to be his girlfriend. Its not permanent its just a charm." She shook her head, "I don't even know why I'm telling you any of this?" She grabbed her bag and started to walk out of the classroom, but she stopped and turned around to look at Fred.

"Do you not think that I don't notice you constantly staring at me, especially when I'm with Cedric? Its awkward Fred, this is awkward. You don't own me, I was never yours. Scotty tells me that all you do is talk shit about me in the common room and tell everyone that I am a joke. Do you think that I ever want to be your friend again after hearing all that? I'm sorry you're insecure or something but obviously the only joke in all of this, is you." She turned around quickly and walked away before he could see the tears forming in her eyes. Fred watched her before deciding to run after her. She had made it to the courtyard before Fred caught up with her. He stopped in his tracks when he saw that Cedric had his arms around her, comforting her. Fred's shoulders dropped when he saw Cedric kiss her on the top of her head. He saw Cedric grinning ear to ear looking at him, he slowly lifted a hand off Addie's back giving him a thumbs up and mouthing 'Thank You'. That was the final straw for Fred, he turned around and booked it toward his common room. When he finally got there George was sitting on the couch talking to Ron about quidditch. Fred walked over to the book case and threw all the book off the shelves, trashing the common room. George and Ron stood up when Fred started screaming.

"HES FUCKING USING HER!" Fred looked straight at George, "He's trying to get her to hate me, he doesn't like that we were so close, he's pitted her against me." Fred started to cry. "I saw him in the courtyard. I walked in there and Addie was crying in his shoulder. He looked me in the eyes and smiled at me, thanking me for making her cry so she would run to him." Fred fell into one of the lounge chairs, crying into his hands. "I need to make her see that he's even more jealous than me. I need her to be with me." Ron and George looked at each other before sitting next to him, "What's the plan then?" All three boys looked at each other before coming up with a plan to win Addie back.
