"COME ON." They all turned their attention to Jiane, "she needs a rest."
Hero nodded and carried Winter. "Just wait me here," he said to his friends who just nodded.
"They can come with us," Jiane said with her shaking voice and shortly glanced on Raide.
"But..."
"Winter won't mind, don't worry," she said and smiled.
Hero sighed and nodded at his friends who gulped. Anticipating to finally see Winter's house. And when they reached it, they are stunned of what does it looks like. Especially when they found out the entrance of Winter's tree house.
"She have a beautiful and amazing house," Alexilia whispered and held Skeira's hand who nodded on her sentiment.
"Nung unang punta ko rin dito, nagulat ako at namangha sa istraktura ng bahay niya. Never knew her house will be this mysterious like her."
Hero gently laid Winter on the bed with the help of Jiane and when they are done fixing Winter on her bed, they looked at each other and cleared their throats.
Jiane turned around and automatically met Raide's piercing eyes. She gulped and looked away. "You may rest here for awhile," she said and sneakily glance on Raide who's eyeing Winter.
"Is she okay?" Zevious asked, frowning.
Nilingon ni Jiane si Winter at nanlalaki ang matang inilapat ang likod ng palad sa noo ng dalaga. Napasinghap siya at napasulyap kay Hero. "She have fever."
Halos patakbong lumapit sina Zevious, Raide, Skeira at Alexilia sa kama ng dalaga at pinakatitigan ito. Namumula ang pisngi't noo ni Winter maging ang leeg at tenga nito. Bahagyang nakakunot ang noo at nakaawang ang labi. Mabibigat ang hininga at unti-unti namumuo ang pawis sa kaniyang noo.
Napalunok si Jiane at nagmamadaling kumuha ng malinis na bimpo at planggana kung saan may maligamgam na tubig at dali-daling lumapit kay Winter at pinunasan ito.
"What happened to her?" tanong niya sa mga ito.
Nagkatinginan sina Alexilia at Zevious at kapwa lumaki ang mata nila at nag-iwas ng tingin.
"She went on our house," ani Skeira. "And then, she met my Uncle L and Uncle tried to harm her but ended up kneeling on the ground. An inches far from Winter. Then, he started being emotional and violent."
Natigilan sa pagpunas ng mukha ni Winter si Jiane at nilingon si Skeira. "Did she...use her power?"
Lahat sila ay napatango at mariin naman napapikit si Jiane. "Hindi ko kayo pinagbibintangan pero sana sa susunod, h'wag niyong hahayaan si Winter na gumamit ng kapangyarihan niya."
"Bakit?" kunot-noong tanong ni Zevious.
Binalingan ni Jiane si Winter at malalim na humugot ng hininga. "Her powers will harm her more than someone harming her."
Natigilan si Hero at naalala kung paano ang isang linggo na nawawala si Winter ay nagpapahinga lang sa kung saan. Did she use her power that time?
Ilang minuto namayani ang katahimikan sa pagitan nila na binasag ni Skeira, "uuwi muna ako," paalam niya.
"Ako rin!" ani Alexilia at kumapit sa braso ni Skeira. "Mauna na kami," aniya at tuluyan na naglaho.
"Aalis na rin kami..." usal ni Zevious habang ang paningin ay nasa kinakatayuan ni Alexilia kanina.
"Huh?" kunot ang noong baling ni Raide sa kaniya. "Dito lang ako."
