I don't believe at mates. I heard from our homeroom teacher, mates are precious things, they are blessing. But for me, they are curse. Mates will just make your life worse. And it did not changed when I met my mate, Alexilia Dashry, a good friend of mine.

"I don't like you," I said to her while we are sitting on the cliff. We're in Olaezon Forest.

I heard her sighed. "Me too," she said.

"Then, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I hate — no, I'm mad at Zevy," she pouted like a kid. "He can just say it without shouting, right?" She blew a loud breath, "but, he did! That asshole! Had he forgotten that I have a crush on him?!"

I shrugged my shoulders off. "Don't know."

Silence filled us for a couple of minutes. "What should we do?" she asked, cutting the silence off.

"Should I make a scene so, your family wouldn't like me for you?"

I grimaced. "Ate Leigh doesn't want you for me."

"How harsh can you be?" she sneered at me and the side of my lips rose a bit for a smirk.

"Anyways, I gotta go. My father might be looking for me now," she said and vanished.

I stayed there for an hour or so, and when the sun's setting up, I stood up and removed a dust on my pants that I am wearing.

I stretched my body a bit and was about to leave when I felt someone's staring at me. I looked around. No one. Sighing, I teleported to my room instead of walking all the way to my home, like what I used to do.

When I laid my body on the soft matress of the bed, my eyes instatly closed and a scenario with an unknown girl is what I've dreamed.

"I'm He— oh! Frostine pala!" The little girl said while smilling cheekily after I helped her getting up on the ground.

I frowned at her and removed the small leaves on her hair and on her dress, cautiously. "Oh! Thank you!" she cheered and I felt my cheeks heated up.

"Ikaw? Ano name mo, kuya?" I stilled and stepped back when her pair of innocent round purple eyes met mine.

"W-what?" I stuttered.

She looked at me weirdly then, smiled again. "What's your name po?"

I stared at her face for a second and I felt my heart beats, shocking me. "H-Hero..." I said.

"Hero Devlin Archer."

She stared at me and blinked several times then, she pouted. "Ang haba po ng name niyo, Kuya Hero Devlin Archer."

I stilled for a seconds and a low chuckle escaped from my mouth and she gasped with that, she even put both of her hands on her mouth to cover it. "W-why did you laugh?!" she asked and moved a bit away from me.
