Josie's POV

I wake up to the sound of Hope whimpering, and get extremely worried. She's having a nightmare. She told me she's been having nightmares when I confronted her a few days ago, asking why she looked so tired and sleep deprived. Apparently she's been having nightmares ever since the night Landon died, which was over a week ago. I don't know what happens when she has her nightmares, since I only sleep in her room on Fridays and on the weekends, an agreement me, Lizzie and Hope have.
I tried to ask her about her about it, but she just shrugs it off saying "It's nothing." I decided to let her be, she'll come to me when she's ready.

I get out from under her grasp and shake her. "Hope, wake up. Hope, wake up" I continue to shake her but she doesn't wake up. After a few more tries a wave of magic suddenly hits me and I fly backwards hitting Hopes painting tools. It's only then that Hope wakes up.
"Oh, my God. Josie, are you okay?"
"Yeah no, it's fine I'm okay." I reassure her. "What happened?" she asks.
"You were having a nightmare. And then you screamed and some magical wave thing hit me, and now I have art supplies all over my body."

"I'm sorry." she apologizes. I walk up to her and cup her face, giving her a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry I'm fine. If anything I should be worried about you. You never told me magical waves hit whenever you have a nightmare." I state.
"I didn't, this is the first time it happened..... That I'm aware off." I then have an idea to ask my dad for advice.
"I have to go get ready, babe. I'll see you at breakfast." I state and give her a chaste kiss on the lips and leave.

Instead of making my way to my room I go to the direction of my dad's office, while cleaning myself up from the paint. I walk to his office and I see his door slightly open. "Hey, dad, uh, can we talk?"  I peek my head through the door.
"Of course, sweetie." he says and I walk inside the office and sit on the seat across from his desk.
"You, uh... ...got a little..." he trails of pointing to my neck. I touch the area my dad us gesturing too and see blue paint.
"Yeah, that was actually what I wanted to talk to you about." I state.
"Paint?" Dad asks. "Hope."

"What about Hope? Did something happen with you two?" he asks. I immediately shake my head 'no'.
"My relationship with Hope has been really great. I'm happy." I answer.
"Well then, what's wrong?" he asks.
"She's been having nightmares ever since the night Landon died. She told me it was nothing. I wanted to believe her. But this morning she had another nightmare and I shook her awake and I was hit by a magical wave of energy."

My dad's eyes then widen.
"Don't worry I'm fine. I promise. My body hurts a little, but other than that I'm fine" he nods his head and doesn't ask questions. So I continue
"I'm getting worried, dad."
"Don't worry sweetie, maybe she's getting a little stressed. How about I go try and talk to her." he suggests. I nod my head and stand up. "Thank you, dad."
"Anyways I have to go get ready and head to the cafeteria, I haven't eaten yet." I inform and walk towards the door.
" I love you, dad. "
" I love you too, sweetheart "

Hope's POV

After Josie left my room, I cleaned up the mess in my painting area, and arranged my tools. Then Dr. Saltzman knocks on my door and tells me to change and head to the gym since we're training again today. I do as I'm told and head to the gym. He hands me two wooden sticks and we begin to spar.
"So, what's wrong with you?" he asks.
"Nothing, I'm fine." I say as I go for a big swing. He backs away. Giving us time to talk.

"Josie told me about your little incident."
"Isn't girlfriend confidentiality a thing? It should be." I reply as I move to start sparring again. I try to get him to trip but he moves his foot back. So I go for a big swing, he blocks them with his sticks and shoves them down. He then backs away to talk again.
"You know how my daughter is, Hope. She's just worried about you, that's all. " he says. "She doesn't need to be." I start swinging again. I really don't want to have this conversation right now. I swing my stick to his head and he ducks. We then switch positions.
