Chapter 43 : It's Actually Kind Of Beautiful (Ep. 9)

Hope's POV

A few days after the whole "Christmas" fiasco I'm finally moving back to the Salvatore Boarding School. It took a few days since I'm transferring in such short notice, but luckily Dr. Saltzman was the principal and sped up the process a little bit along with his resignation and transfer to SBS. Maya and Ethan are bummed that I'm transferring but I reassured them that we could still hang out. The past few days I was staying at the Mikaelson manor, and spending time with Josie after school. She informed me that Landon is back and that things are awkward between them, so it's going to be more awkward now that I'm coming back to school. I have all my stuff in a box and walking towards my old room when I spot Landon.

I wave at him, he just acknowledges me and continues walking avoiding my gaze. I don't mind it and continue walking, and then I spot Lizzie making out with a boy, which I'm assuming is Sebastian. So much for him being her enemy. When I open the door to my room I notice two beds, one side of the room fully decorated. "Oh. It's just you."
"Alyssa, what's all this?" I ask.
"I moved in while you were forgotten or whatever. Your side's over there."
"I usually have a single."
"Which is what I had until this exact moment. I go to bed at 10:00, so no late-night visitors. And I don't want ants, so no eating in the room. Later, roomie. " she sprays her perfume and walks out the door I cough since she sprayed it close to me. It's almost time for class so I leave my stuff for now and head out.

I grab my schedule and bag and head to class. Everything has changed, the classrooms I knew have been moved and I'm lost and classes have started.
"You're late for class. Or are you lost?" Dr. Saltzman asks walking beside me.
"Uh, both. Apparently, everything changed when I was gone. Where's spell lab?" I ask still looking for the room.
"No idea. I'm a little out of the loop myself." he chuckles. "I just like to stride confidently and, uh, nod in hopes that people don't figure that out."
"But speaking of being out of the loop, Landon and Josie are avoiding me." I state. "Why? What's up?"
"I wouldn't know. Things are still awkward between me and Landon.. I mean, I thought they were okay. It's just bad again."

"Yeah, well, knowing you and Josie are together and seeing it are two very different things." Dr. Saltzman defends Landon. I really thought things were okay between me and Landon, when I apologized to him during the SimuLandon situation he semmed oka, Josie also said he was okay when they broke up, but maybe he was faking it. I guess I was being hopeful when I thought things would go back to normal.
"I just wish there was something I could do." I say frustrated.
"You just have to give him some time, you know? Things will go back to normal soon enough." he says. "I hope."
"Yeah. Spell lab. Oh!" Dr. Saltzman points to the room near us. I excuse myself and walk inside the class. Luckily the teacher was okay that I was 5 minutes late.

Josie's POV

Hope is moving back to school today, and I planned on decorating her room later on while she's in class, I already have everything I need to put in her room, but for now I need to figure out how to get rid of the black magic inside the sand clock. I'm headed to the library when I spot Landon. I walk up to him since it's only polite to greet someone, even if they are your ex. "Hey." "Hi."
"How's it going? What's up?" I ask.
"Oh. Your dad told me to give Sebastian here a tour and administer his tests if he can stay at the school." he explains.
"Oh okay." I nod my head. "You?"
"The usual. Getting rid of magical evidence before my dad overreacts."
"Sure. Anyways, see you later." he says just when Hope comes in to view, but I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

"Is this what they call 'teen drama'? "
Sebastian asks, he must've noticed the tension. "Shut up. Come on let's go." Landon and Sebastian quickly walk away, just when Hope walks up to me. "Hey, babe." "Hey. How's it going?" she hugs me and when she pulls away she notices Landon walking away dragging Sebastian along with him.
"Landon didn't leave because of me, right?" she asks. "I hope not." I say.
"Anyway, you're all moved in?" I ask.
"Yeah. Alyssa Chang generously gave me back 20% of my room. Plenty of space for the nine things I still own." she says. So I guess the surprise redecorating of her room is needed.
"I still have class, so I'll see you later?" she asks. "Yeah. See you babe." I kiss her cheek and walk to the library.
