DAY 26: GETTING MARRIED

OH HERE WE GO FAM!!!!!

ITS THE BIG ONE

-------

Aloha couldn't help but feel jitters of excitement as he stood by the altar. This....this was it! He and the love of his life were about to get married, for crying out loud!

As everyone took their places, Aloha saw, out of the corner of his eye, Anya. Along with who he guessed was Army's dad. They knew it'd be a bit risky if they let people bring plus ones, but they didn't really plan for a dad. Oh boy....

That anxiety snuck in, and Aloha felt his palms get a bit sweaty. But he needed to stay calm. He took a deep breath, and as soon as the music started for real, his worries melted away and were replaced with excitement.

Especially when he turned his head to see his beloved walking down the aisle, wearing a stunning white suit with a tailored train in the back like the one on a proper wedding dress (As a little middle finger to gender norms), and wearing a bridal veil. A smile was on Army's face. And that smile just reminded Aloha of all the times they shared. And....well, there was to be more on the way, for sure.

The officiator-Diver- smiled, and Aloha could tell where this was going: Puns.

"Queerly beloved," He started, causing a chuckle out of both of the lovers, "We are gathered here today to celebrate the union between two lovers in matrimony. I'll keep this short, as we know how much Aloha likes to party, am I right?"

Well, Diver managed to get a little chuckle out of the crowd. He grinned. "That aside, Aloha, Army, you two do your thing and exchange your vows!"

Aloha took a deep breath, before beginning. "Army, when I first met you, I just thought....Well, to be honest, I thought you were a stuck up asshole. But the more I actually got to know you, the less I saw you as an obsessive drill sergeant and more as... You. I grew to like everything about you; The songs you sing, how excited you got when you were rambling on about whatever....And if someone asked me to write a list full of what I love about you, it would only have one word; Everything."

Army blushed ever so slightly, his face gaining a dusting of orange. "Aloha, I....Gosh, it's times like these I wish I were better with words... Pardon me for the musical references. When I lived with my parents, I always thought I'd be nothing more than an ensemble member, to fill out the world for someone else's songs. But... When I met you, you truly made me feel helpless. I grew to love you, and that love grows even more with every passing day. So, we're putting ourselves in this narrative. And let this moment be the first chapter of the rest of our lives."

Aloha smiled, a look that soon spread to Army's own face. Diver interrupted the moment by clearing his throat. "That's all well and good, but it's time for the moment you've all been waiting for. So, the rings?"

Aloha nodded, taking the two gold bands from the pillow they rested on. He slid one over Army's finger and gave him the other ring to do the same to his own finger.

Diver smiled. "I now pronounce you husbands! You may kiss the....uh....Octo?"

Almost immediately, Army threw his arms around Aloha's neck, uniting their lips in a sweet kiss, sealing their union. The onlookers cheered for the newlyweds, as they pulled apart.

Army smiled. "Well? Shall we head to the party?"

Aloha nodded. "Oh, we shall."
