Cuddling somewhere
best part about this challenge is I can show off my supply of Alarmy pics
Also I decided to upload 3 a day as to not starve yall with my terrible writing
Am I using this as an excuse to practice trauma writing? ...maybe-
My point is cuteness turned to angst.
WARNINGS: Homophobia and physical abuse (mentioned), panic attacks, suicidal thoughts

Army curled himself into a ball, backed up into the dark corner in his shared room with Aloha. His breath quickened, but he could never get enough air. He felt his heart pound, his palms secrete sweat, as his mind raced through all the things that could have happened, sending him even more on edge.
He gripped his arms tighter, his body shaking almost violently. His eyes shut tightly, not even opening for anything. He just wanted this to be over. He wanted his body to stop. He wanted his parents to stop. Stop trying to control him. Trying to "fix his homosexuality"
He wished he could start over.
He wished he could start over and be all his parents wanted him to be.
So why couldn't he just end himself? They were right. His parents were right. The only way he could hope to be the normal, straight, and perfect son they wanted was to kill himself and start over.
No one would miss him. Rider and Prince were faking it, Mask and Skull just didn't care about him, and Aloha didn't love him. Who could love him?
It was then Army felt a soft, gentle touch on his shoulder. He opened his teary eyes to see Aloha. His hibiscus-colored tentacles being the only thing Army could make out with the water flowing out of his eyes.
Aloha moved his hand from his shoulder to his cheek, stroking away the tears. "Army. Can you hear me? Tap once if you can." Army tapped his finger once in response, Aloha nodded. "Good. Now, think you can tell me what happened?"
"M-my p-parents, they...I encountered t-them today, in the Square." Army started, Aloha's gentle touch slowly helping him anchor himself back to reality. "T-they w-wanted to catch up, a-and w-wanted to know I-if I was still..."
"Gay?"
Army nodded. "T-they didn't p-put it as nicely as t-that...t-they called m-me a fag. R-right there in public. T-they outed me. F-father threatened to 'b-beat the gay a-away'." He sobbed. "S-Skull m-managed to h-help m-me get back w-without much trouble, b-but...I-I'm still s-scared."
Aloha placed his other hand over Army's. "They're not gonna hurt you. The others and I'll make sure of that."
"A-are you s-sure?"
"Absolutely." Aloha gently moved in to embrace Army, rubbing his sides to calm him. It seemed to do the trick, as the amber-hued octoling's shaking slowed to a stop, his breathing calmed down.
"One m-more thing." Army started, his arms wrapping around Aloha instinctively. "Do...do you really love me?"
"What kind of question is that? Of course, I do." Aloha pressed his lips against Army's forehead. "No matter what your parents might try to tell you. I love you, Army. Truly."
Army smiled. "T-thanks...I needed that."
"Anything else you need, love?"
"Can...can we cuddle?" Army asked, pulling away from the hug.
Aloha nodded, picking up the octoling and carrying him to the bed. He laid Army down on the soft mattress and got in himself afterward. His arms moved to embrace the smaller's torso, pulling him close.
Army's own arms made their way to Aloha's neck, wrapping around him and pulling his face closer, so their noses were touching. "Aloha, I love you so much. Thank you."
Aloha leaned in, pressing a kiss on Army's soft lips. "You're welcome, Army. I love you too."
The two stayed like that, slowly drifting offinto sleep
