Still stunned, I couldn't seem to focus on the practice. Sa gitna ng tilian ng mga kaibigan ko especially Heloise, I stupidly found myself staring at the man who's shamelessly flirting with two unfamiliar girls. Sa tapat ng inuupuan naming pahabang sofa nakaupo siya do'n at nakaakbay sa dalawang babaeng nagtatawanan.
Nagtagpo ang mga mata namin kaya umirap ako at tinutukan ang banda. They're actually good. Their music is really good. Ang malamig na boses ng bokalista ay lalong nagpapatili kay Heloise. She's been admiring him since High school. I didn't attend the same school with them but I've heard about the band. And she's an avid fan. Not only her actually, a lot of girls. Kaya lang ang sabi, may ibang babaeng na itong nagugustuhan. But that doesn't stop Heloise from admiring. She's still a fan of their music after all.
"Axton!"
Napabaling kami sa isang babaeng tumili pagkapasok ng music room. Walang pakundangan siyang tumakbo at hinawi ang isa sa mga babae upang mayakap si Axton. Tumaas ang kilay ko nang umupo ito sa ibabaw niya at mahigpit na yumakap. Napahinto din nang bahagya ang banda lalo na noong huminto si Justine sa pagkanta. I looked at him and saw his eyes stucked on the other girl who was standing near the door.
"Si Cassie," Cia whispered.
"Who's Cassie?" I asked curiously and turned to her.
"Axton's younger sister. Siya 'yung crush ni Justine," bulong niya sa akin at humagikgik.
Nilingon ko ulit 'yung babaeng mukhang High school pa lang. She's petite and beautiful with her bob haircut. Nakapoker face siyang nakatingin sa babaeng nakayakap pa rin kay Axton. Nilingon ko si Heloise na nakanguso habang tinitignan si Justine na manghang nakatingin sa kanyang crush.
That explains why they're doing the rehearsal here. Tsk.
"And who's that monkey girl?" I asked.
"Monkey girl?" Cia chuckled.
"She's like a monkey hanging on a poisonous tree." I glared at them.
"That's Zosia. Cassie's bestfriend."
Tumaas na naman ang kilay ko.
Axton stood up laughing while struggling to remove the girl's hand around his neck.
"Zosia, stop it," natatawang saad niya.
"I miss you, Axton!" She giggled.
Who's she? His girlfriend? Oh well, probably just one of his flings. I wanted to asked Cia but I don't want to be nosy. As if I'm interested though.
Lumipas ang maghapon na wala akong ibang ginawa kundi paikutin ang mata ko. I hate the fact that I couldn't concentrate watching the band's rehearsal when there are people flirting in the corner of my eyes. Ngayon ko lang talaga pinagsisihang naibigay ko ang sarili ko sa kanya. I wasn't a victim because I was the one who made that reckless decision. Ano'ng pinagkaiba ko sa mga babaeng ito? Tss.
Hapon na nang makauwi kami. Some did enjoy, some are not. Kaming dalawa lang yata ni Heloise 'yon. Nakasimangot kasi siya the whole time at ako naman tahimik lang na nakamasid.
"Okay na sana e. May dumating pang panira," bulong bulong niya.
"Heloise, just accept the fact na wala kang laban do'n. Esquivel 'yon, hello?" Umirap si Cia.
