You were over at Casey's place along with Sarah, discussing with Beckman about Chuck dating this Lou girl.
"I don't like this one bit. How did this happen?" Beckman asked.
"Y/N doesn't have the guts to tell Bartowski how she feels." Casey answered.
"Hey!" Sarah said.
"Yeah tough subject for me right now. Thank you."
"Some woman comes in off the street and starts dating the asset, and this doesn't strike either of you as suspicious?"
" It's not unfeasible. Chuck is a very sweet, charming and handsome guy." you said stepping in.
"I've heard enough. I want to know everything there is to know about this woman before she gets too close."
Beckman was gone and you looked over at Sarah, sadness still clear on your face.
The next morning, Chuck came with info on a man he flashed on last night while out on his date with Lou. Apparently it was her ex boyfriend. You were all inside Casey's house once again.
"Stavros Demetrios, a handsome playboy, owns and operates a number of L.A. clubs." Beckman started.
" I don't think he's that handsome." Chuck said.
You looked over at him and shook your head.
"He's the son of Yari Demetrios, the shipping magnate."
"What do you mean by playboy? What kind of intel do we have on that? " Chuck asked.
"What we have is information that a volatile package is coming to Los Angeles. The cargo itself is time-sensitive, which, knowing the Demetrios family ties to the middle east, could mean a weapon." Beckman answered. "Chuck, we need you to get as close to Stavros as possible and see if you flash on anything related to the shipment."
"What? What? You want me to get close to my girlfriend's ex?"
That hurt you so much hearing him call her his girlfriend. You took a deep breath, trying to hold back the tears. Sarah could see how much this was upsetting you.
" Why do you want me to do that? Plus, I don't want to get her involved in all this." Chuck finished.
"Why don't you and your girlfriend hit club Ares tonight? I hear it's supposed to be all the rage."
"Yeah should be great Chuck." you said, anger clear in your voice and you walked out of Casey's house.
Chuck looked at you, confused at why you were acting that way.
"Is she okay?" Chuck asked.
Sarah looked at him, shaked her head and walked out door to see you. Chuck then turned to Casey.
"Okay what did I do?"
Casey growled and walked away.
You were at work cleaning some tables when you noticed Lou walking by.
"Hey Lou!" you called out.
"Hi."
" Hi."
"You must be Y/N. Chuck's best friend."
"I am. You know, he's a great guy."
" Yeah, um, I've had the same opinion so far, too."
" It's not an opinion, it's a fact. Don't hurt him." you said very seriously.
" Okay. Wasn't planning on it. Thanks for the heads up, though."
Lou then walked out the store, looking a little scared. Sarah saw the whole thing and was quite proud of how you handled that whole situation.
Later at night you were all back at Casey's apartment, getting Chuck ready for the mission. You were standing in the corner watching Casey and Sarah get him ready.
"We're only on our second official date, and already I'm lying to her."
" Relax. It's dating in LA. Everyone lies." Casey said. "We're going to be tapped into the club's surveillance feed. All we need is the audio."
" This has an rk-7 mini mic that works up to 20 feet. I want you to keep it as close to Stavros as possible." Sarah said, walking up to him holding a guitar pin.
"Are you kidding? Are you kidding me with this? I can't wear this. This looks ridiculous."
" The alternative is we join you on your date." Casey said.
You looked down, hating the fact that Chuck would have to go on a date but you would also hate going with him on the date and having to watch the two of them together.
"Fine."
" Ear wig." Sarah said handing it to him.
" It never stops with you people, does it?" Chuck asked, putting the ear wig in.
" Aren't you forgetting something, Romeo?" Casey asked handing him a rose.
"Let me guess. This is equipped with some kind of microscopic, infrared tracking device that determines her mother's communist affiliations?"
"No, idiot. It's so you can get laid."
That did it for you and you walked out. Sarah noticed and followed. Chuck looked over at you, concern on his face. He wanted to know so badly why you were acting that way.
You were sitting outside in the courtyard by the fountain, tears coming down your face. Sarah came and sat down beside you.
"Hey Y/N."
"Hey."
"I'm sorry about all this. Are you sure you want to come tonight?"
"Yeah I'm sure. I need to make sure nothing happens to him."
"Okay. Well we leave in five."
You nodded at Sarah and she walked back into the house as Chuck came out and saw you sitting there.
"Hey Y/NN."
You looked up at him and tried to smile. Even though this whole thing was hurting you, you still loved him.
"Hey."
Chuck sat down beside you and looked at you.
"You okay? You've been acting a little weird lately."
"I'm fine Chuck."
"Okay...It just seems that every time we mention Lou, you get a little upset."
"Why would I be upset?"
"I don't know. And she came to me today and said you gave her a warning?"
"Well...Yeah...you are my best friend you know."
"Okay... but Y/N if you need to talk to me, you can talk."
"Yeah if only it was that easy." you said quietly, looking down.
Chuck was about to ask what you meant by that when Casey and Sarah came out, ready to go.
"Let's go Chuck." you said quickly getting up and joining them.
Chuck looked at you, sadness now on his face. Yes he was dating Lou now but he was still really in love with you. That would never change.
