Chuck was in his room, getting ready to go to Bryce's funeral. He was looking in the mirror fixing his tie when his sister came in.

"Dad's suit?" she asked.

" Yeah. It's my only one." he said with a small smile on his face.

" I'm quite certain he wouldn't mind, though. You realize that you don't have to go to Bryce's funeral."

"Yeah, yeah, I guess. It's just we had a lot of history. Even if he did get me kicked out of school and steal my girlfriend."

"Well... you've moved on to bigger and better girls. I don't really mean bigger like, literally bigger."

Chuck let out a small laugh.

"You do know I still have not told Y/N how I feel though yet right?"

Ellie sighed.

"I know... But you two have been inseparable since you were little kids and once you finally do find that perfect time, I know it will be forever. Y/N is the one."

Chuck looked down and smiled. He knew she was right.

All of a sudden the doorbell rang.

"Speaking of Y/N." Ellie said giving Chuck a little smirk. Y/N agreed to go to the funeral with Chuck.

Chuck walked down stairs and saw Y/N waiting there, wearing a black dress.

"Thanks for coming with me Y/N." he said walking over to her and giving her a hug.

"Of course."

When you both arrived at the funeral, Chuck just wanted to stand off to the side which you respected. You knew this was still hard for him. You used one of your hands to grab his hand and used your other hand to wrap around his arm. You wanted to let him know that you were there for him.

Off to the side you noticed Sarah standing there too watching the service.

You walked into work the next day with Chuck. You had your shift starting soon and Chuck was on his break.

"Hey Sarah." You said walking in.

"Hey Y/N, Chuck. How is everything?"

"We saw you at the funeral. " Chuck said.

"Oh, yeah, I had to go. After everything Bryce did, he was still my partner."

"Look, we're not accusing you of anything... today. Yesterday, yes, we may have laid it on a little thick with the accusing. But we're really sorry about that." You said.

" Instead of not trusting you, we should have been thanking you for saving our lives and protecting the country and-and-and... and making really tasty gourmet wieners. Well you and Y/N."

You all started to laugh.

"I'm sorry I yelled at you." Sarah said.

"Hey...we are long time best friends. We are going to have our fights." you said, giving her a smile.

"You know, with Dr. Zarnow gone, guys, those intersect secrets aren't going anywhere. That means more missions, more danger, more secrets that you can't tell your sister or your friends."

"We know that." Chuck said as you and him looked at each other.

" Some people want to be heroes and others have to be asked. So... Chuck, Y/N, are you ready?"

You and Chuck looked back at Sarah and nodded your heads.

"Good."

All of a sudden Ellie, Devon and Morgan came walking in.

"I hope we're not interrupting anything." Ellie said.

"Oh yeah Sarah, we thought we would give that dinner another shot, maybe here?" You said. "Even though we are both working so I don't know if that's fair." You turned back to Ellie giving her a wink.

"They do realize they have to eat our cooking right?" Sarah said coming over and standing beside you.

"Give me the 411 on the corn dogs. What do you think, man?" Devon said.

Chuck looked over at you both and gave you a goofy smile. Sarah smiled back and you laughed giving Chuck a side hug then both you girls walked behind the counter and started cooking up some corn dogs.

You then handed over to Chuck a slightly burnt corn dog.

"Cheers!" Chuck said.

You both watched him take a bite out of it and you and Sarah both laughed when Chuck made a face.

Guess things would be all good for now.
