Hello all my wonderful readers!! I hope you are all sitting down for this chapter. This one's a bumpy ride and it's only going to get rougher from here. It took me a while to find my rhythm and inspiration for this update but once I put on the right music, the words flowed easier. These chapters have come quick so I hope you forgive any errors I may have made. Again, nothing belongs to me so please support all the wonderful artistic people out there! Ok now, let's see what Lan Zhan has in store for his troublesome husband, shall we?
Lan Zhan stared down at his drunk husband, his normally serene aura now filled with anger and jealousy. The rare golden eyes that witnessed first-hand Fan Yingpei touching his beloved were rimmed with red. Bichen's hilt was being grasped so tightly that Wei Ying thought it might actually crack under Lan Zhan's bone-crushing grip.
Fan Yingpei cowered in terror of the Light Bearing Lord, his arms raised above his head for whatever protection they would afford.
"La-La-Lan Zhan!" Wei Wing stuttered frantically. "You are here!" Wei Ying tried to stand but his legs gave out from under him. He closed his eyes, waiting for his body to crash the hard floor. But, instead of experiencing pain, Wei Ying felt Lan Zhan's muscular arm wrap swiftly around his narrow waist and pull him safely up next to him.
"Mine." Lan Zhan's deep voice sent both chills of pleasure and fear through Wei Ying's body.
"Of course, my love! I am yours forever." Wei Ying soothed, his hand drawing circles on Wanji's chest. "Please don't be angry at Fan Yingpei. It was my idea to come here and I'm the one who drank too much." Wei Ying confessed using his younger tone to try and placate his lover.
But, Lan Zhan's body was still rigid with anger, his eyes never leaving the trembling Fan Yingpei who was still hiding under his own arms. Wei Ying knew his husband and was truly afraid for his new friend's safety. Realizing that his current attempt to ease Lan Zhan's jealousy was not working, Wei Ying decided it was time for plan B.
"Lan Zhan, I.......don't feel.......very well." Wei Ying's voice slurred and grew fainter.
Wangji's eyes moved to Wei Ying's face just in time to see his eyes roll to the back of his head, his body collapsing against him. Fan Yingpei finally found the courage to move as he saw his friend go limp in Lan Zhan's grasp. "Wei Wuxian!" he yelled. He looked at Wangji who was still giving him a death glare. "Is he alright?"
"Mn. Come." Lan Zhan said sternly.
Wei Ying was disappointed when his husband threw him over his shoulder instead of carrying him in his arms.
Damn! He must REALLY be mad at me.
As they exited the inn, Wei Ying raised his head slightly to see the very worried look on his friend's face. Fan Yingpei, who was fearfully following behind the couple, gasped when he saw Wei's eyes open and made a move to touch his head. Wei Wuxian shook his head rapidly and gave Fan a wink, comforting Fan's heart, before playing dead again.
The walk back to Cloud Recesses was long and filled with a silence that no one was willing to break.

Upon returning home, Lan Zhan first made sure that Fan Yingpei returned to his room safely, away from his husband. He then carried Wei Ying back to Jingshi and unceremoniously dropped him on the bed, his eyes observing the drunken man below him. His mind was still filled with images of the stranger touching Wei Ying's face and his anger had only grown as the night wore on.
How could his husband act like this now that they were married? Part of him knew that Wei Ying would never change and he loved that about him. But, the other part had desperately hoped that his partner would consider his feelings more now that they were in a bonded relationship.
