Hello readers!  I'm very sorry I took so long to update but two things happened.  One, life.  I just could not find any "alone" time to sit and devote hours to this chapter so I had to cram it all in a few hours on a Sunday night and early Monday morning.  That said, there are probably many mistakes.  Please forgive me.  Second, when I first started writing this update, I read back that half that I had written and was not happy with it at all.  So, I scrapped the whole thing and started from scratch.  Needless to say, I hope you like it.

I recently found out that one of my faithful readers and, dare I say friend here, told me that she missed seeing my song lists that I used to include for my chapters of my first story.   I never thought anyone paid attention to them so that's why I stopped putting them in this book.  So, this is for you Canery_Blue8!!!  Thank you to everyone who support me and keep me writing, even during these difficult chapters!  You all bring a smile to my face!

Wei Ying's expression melted into one of utter confusion. His head cocked slightly to the left as his mind attempted to recognize the voice he heard come from his own body.

"La-Lan Zhan?" Wei said hesitantly, unsure of whose voice was coming out of his mouth. It was not the same one he had been hearing for the past few years and had finally grown accustomed to. This voice was rich and masculine, a voice women, and probably men he thought to himself, would swoon over. He brought his right hand up and gently massaged his throat.

"Lan Zhan." he repeated, this time with more confidence.

"Wei Ying, you........" Wangji whispered, his own voice crackling like dried fall leaves being crushed under his feet. He frantically scanned his husband's new.........or was it old, face for any sign that Wei's soul was still in there.  He needed to find that glimmer of hope he could hold onto  to keep himself from falling into the endless abyss of loss.  He stared into Wei's colorful eyes, searching for the kindness and love he needed to see to believe that this man was still, somehow, his husband, his beloved, his lover.

His soulmate.

His Wei Ying.

"Well," Wei Ying huffed. "I didn't expect this to happen. But, I have to admit, I kind of like it. What else has changed?" Lighting a handful of talismans, Wei Ying filled the dismal cave with a warm golden glow.

Wei Ying's hand that had been caressing his throat moved curiously up his face, quickly joined by his other hand. He traced the shape of his nose, jaw, and cheeks noting how they were different yet vaguely familiar. He brushed his fingertips over his lips and smiled faintly, remembering how it felt to be kissed by the man standing frozen in front of him.  He wondered if it would feel the same now.  Or, would this body react differently?  He glanced over at Lan Zhan whose eyes were fixated on Wei's fingers as they caressed the soft skin of his lips.  Wuxian could feel the heat building in his lover's shaking body and it made him tingle inside.
