Elizabeth was in Klaus's study, poring over the Moonlight Ring spell.

She'd already read it once before, but now she was dissecting every detail, eyes narrowed in focused intensity. Klaus leaned against the wall, watching her with interest. This spell wasn't just any spell—it was crucial. Hayley's pack needed it. And if they were going to win this ridiculous war, they needed the wolves on their side.

"Your mother's spell is as complicated as it is elegant," Elizabeth said finally, admiration in her tone. "She was a crafty little witch. I mean, most of her spells are amazing, but the way she adapted the daylight ring for werewolves? Brilliant. Or maybe she made this one first...?" She trailed off, frowning. "She did it for your birth daddy, right? So maybe the daylight rings were based on this. Honestly, if the mutts had had these rings sooner, they might not be almost extinct."

"Yes, little siphon, I'm aware of my mother's...gifts," Klaus replied dryly. "She did create vampires, though she came to regret it."

He reached forward and pointed to a specific section of the parchment.
"Is this the part?"

Elizabeth snatched the spell back with an annoyed look. "Rude, wolfie. As I was saying, it's complicated—but nothing too complicated for me, obviously. She bound the protective magic to black kyanite. Sounds a bit like kryptonite, actually. You know, from Superman—"

"Darling, as much as I enjoy your pop culture tangents, this is important," Klaus cut in, mildly exasperated.

Elizabeth rolled her eyes. "No fun, as always. Anyway—black kyanite is like lapis lazuli for daylight rings. With the spell complete, a wolf wearing the ring would be free from the curse of the full moon."

"And the enhancements?" Klaus asked, brow raised.

"Oh, those are the best part," she said, eyes gleaming. "Super strength, agility, enhanced senses. They'll be like Twilight's Jacob, but better. Basically, superwolves. Honestly, it's super cool."

Klaus leaned in to study the spell more closely. "There should be something here about fangs. My mother enchanted ours when she turned us."

Elizabeth nodded. "Ah, yes—but it's different. Not vampire fangs. These let the wolves bite with venom strong enough to kill a vampire. They can shift at will and now? They're armed."

Klaus smiled and leaned forward, pressing a rare kiss to her forehead. "Wonderful. With those rings, our wolves will be unstoppable."

"Think they'll bite Marcus?" she asked sweetly. "Because I'm still super pissed about that bite at the witch party. Bloodsucker deserves a good mauling."

"If he dares cross us again," Klaus said, voice dropping, "he won't get my blood this time. Not after everything he's done. You almost died."

Elizabeth hummed, appeased. "Good. He's lucky I haven't ripped out his spleen."
