Getting to know Ren before he was known as Joker, the two of you bonded. But even with the sense of trust in your friendship, he did not tell you about him being a Phantom Thief until his most dangerous mission. You tried to persuade him not to go, but he does anyway. When he doesn't return, you begin to worry about him. You go after the Phantom Thief group and try to understand what has happened to him. Only then that you realize, due to time, your heart belongs to him and your heart belongs to the Phantom Thieves.
