~ Flashback to boot camp ~
Pt.1

Today we get the day off from training and I'm excited. We've been working hard everyday for the past 6 months and I'm exhausted.

I feel Sasha move around in the bunk above me and then she jumps onto the ground. I sit up and look at her.

She smiles at me widely and throws her shoes on. I watch as she falls over as she tries to get the left one one. I stifle a laugh and get out of bed myself.

"Breakfast?" I ask.

"You know it! I have to get there early to get the fresh stuff," she licks her lips.

"Of course," I nod.

She grabs my hand as I slip on my last shoe and pulls me to the dining hall. I struggle to keep up with her determined pace.

We walk into the building, there's no one else inside yet. Sasha jumps in glee and goes to get in the line for food. Seeing as there's no one here, she doesn't wait long.

Her auburn brown hair is sloppily put into a pony tail, mine is untouched as well, but I left it down. My brown locks reach down just a little below my collar bone, smaller pieces framing my face.

I didn't look in a mirror, but I know my hair is a mess. Instead of showering last night, I went to bed early. We had ran all day and I just wasn't ready to wait in line for the shower. I suppose I'll just take one after breakfast or something.

Sasha and I grab our food; It consists of eggs, toast, and oatmeal. But wait... also BACON! Holy crap we got meat?! Maybe they're treating us because we've been working so hard.

I sit down at a table near a window and Sasha sits across from me. We begin eating and others start trickling into the dining hall.

Soon, more and more show up. I bet a lot of people are sleeping in. In fact, I don't see Eren, Armin, or Mikasa. If Sasha hadn't woken me up, I still would probably be sleeping.

Connie plops down next to Sasha and Marco sits next to me. I watch as Thomas and Jean take the last two spots at our table.

"Good morning," Marco smiles at me.

"It is a good morning, we have bacon!" I grin at my plate. There's one piece of bacon sitting on top of it. I saved it for last so I can enjoy it.

A hand reaches over and snatches the bacon from my plate. I look over and see Jean sitting back down in his seat, munching on my piece of bacon.

"Wha-" I stare at him blankly. He just took my bacon.

"Jean!" Marco hits his shoulder. "What the heck man?"

I get up from my chair and stand behind him. My arm snakes around his throat and puts him in a choke hold.

"You better get me a piece of bacon or you're going to be missing a few fingers by the end of the day," I whisper into his ear in the most threatening voice I have.

He taps his hand on the table, signaling defeat. I watch as he takes his own piece of bacon and hands it to me.

"You're even crazier than your brother," he stares at me and grumbles.
