You're Not Alone

Eren and I run across the top of the wall and the colossal Titan swipes it's arm at us. We jump and avoid it. It wasn't too hard because this Titan is very slow.

He took out the cannons... can this thing... be smarter than the other Titans? I thought they were all just mindless people eating giants...?

The Titan reaches for Eren, but he manages to escape and fly up and onto its back. I watch from the wall, not wanting to get in his way.

Eren goes for the nape, but suddenly a cloud of steam comes off of the Titan. I wince as the steam reaches me. It's boiling hot!

"What the..." I stand back up from crouching down.

"Did you get him!?" Wagner asks.

"No... He's gone! Just like five years ago. He's here one moment and then gone the next."

"Well you did good," I come up and pat Eren on the back.

We've regrouped with Wagner and Connie. Both seem unharmed by the attack that just took place moment ago.

"We were too scared to move, good job taking action," Wagner looked at us.

"Hey! Wallow on your own time! In case you hadn't noticed, there's a breach. We have to act fast!" Connie takes hold of his blades.

"Operation Colossal Titan Response is in effect," a guard from wall security pops up. "I expect you to take part! Report to HQ! If you got close to the damn thing, we need details.

"Sir!" We all salute.

"Sir! We pray the Advance team will be victorious!" Connie boasts. Show off...

A bell rings off in the distance and I can see people running to evacuate. This brings back not so good memories from five years ago.

I push back my fear and follow the others to HQ. Thats where we will regroup and come up with a plan of attack.

Once we arrive, I refill my ODM blades because I lost one earlier when I stopped myself from flying off the wall.

"Don't worry, we'll get through this," the lovey dovey guy from before comforts the red haired girl.

"Oh Franz," she wines.

They go in for a hug and I inwardly gag. This isn't the time or the place. We have things to do if we want to protect wall Rose.

I look over and see Armin struggling with his gear. His whole body is trembling with fear and terror. Eren is trying to calm him down.

"Listen to me. You're focused on the past. Look ahead! We're not going to be the victims anymore!" Eren tried to help.

"I'm sorry," Armin sighs. "I'm okay now."

I look around and I haven't been able to see Jean. By now the Titans are probably in the wall, that means more people are going to die.

I'm going to do my best to defend the citizens of Trost... No one should have to go through what I did. The fear of Titans getting in and killing everyone...

As long as I save at least one person, I will have succeeded. Just one person I need to save, that's all. Only one.
