Season Two
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~My eyes flutter open. Why is my head pounding? The light from outside enters the room and I squint, trying to adjust to the brightness.
I stretch my legs out, the muscles loosening painfully. Every time I leave the Titan body, my muscles tighten and I feel like I've fallen from a building. Plus, I lose consciousness which causes my head to ache.
My hands support my upper body as I try to sit up. There's a bed on the other side of the room and I can see Eren and Mikasa sitting silently.
They notice me moving and jump up to sit on the bench beside my bed. Eren takes my hand and I smile weakly at him.
"What's going on?" My voice comes out scratchy and hoarse. Probably from not speaking for a while.
Mikasa hands me a glass of water and I take a sip. The cold liquid calming my throat and getting rid of the soreness.
"We're still waiting for further instructions. Erwin is keeping us here in Stohess while the other cadets of the 104th squad are in a secluded area in the south side of Wall Sina. They're trying to figure out if anyone else can shift into a Titan," Eren explains.
I nod in understanding and try to think of anyone else who could also be a Titan like Eren and I. Fear throbs in my heart thinking about how they could also be like Annie and want to ruin things for humanity. Apparently they're not all good.
I still can't wrap my mind around it...
"How are you feeling?" Mikasa leans forward and touches the bandage on my head that I didn't realize was there.
"Uh... sore," I groan and scratch my head.
"Yeah you fought pretty hard," Eren places his hand on my cheek. "I'm proud of you. You did well."
I'm not proud of myself. So many civilians and soldiers died during the fight and we didn't even get anything from Annie. It was pointless.
I lower my head and look at the bed covers. They're a pale brown which reminds me of the ones back home. Well what was home.
"It's time to go," a soldier walks in with a pained and worried expression. "We have to leave now. Get ready and meet us in the supply room downstairs!"
Eren and Mikasa stand and I pull off my covers weakly. I'm wearing a white long sleeve and brown shorts, not appropriate for whatever that man is freaking out about.
"Here," mikasa hands me a uniform. "They cleaned it."
"Thanks," I smile and stand. The room spins for a second and I blink a few times to get rid of the dizziness.
Eren leaves the room while Mikasa helps me put on the complicated harness. I could do it myself, but my hands don't have much strength right now, so my fingers can't tighten the belt.
Mikasa wraps her hands around to my inner thigh and puts the leather strap into the belt buckle. She tightens it comfortably and works on the next one.
While she does that, I put on the white button up. My fingers struggle a little, but as I get the second button on, I can manage the rest.
