~3rd POV~

Levi's team approaches the net that leads to where Eren and Sophie are. Moblit and Armin carry Hanges unconscious body with them.

"Might be a way through," Levi looks up at a hole in the ceiling covered by a net and whispers to himself.

Levi can't help but think if only they had some more gunpowder... behind the net is a girl he needs to save, but Kenny's men are in the way of that.

"Keep your guns trained in that entrance!" The blonde enemy snaps. "If we hold them here, we win!"

Suddenly a bright yellow light erupts, blinging the Scouts members. They shield their eyes and their hearts shatter.

"That light!" Jean gasp. "No..."

"Eren! Sophie!" Mikasa screams.

Levi clenches his jaw, knowing that light is from someone transforming. He wants to believe it to be Eren or Sophie, but he knows that's too good to be true.

Jean leans against the wall, finding it hard to breathe. He know he needs to stay strong and find hope somewhere that she might still alive. Jean holds his chest, feeling it tighten. Although he knows she's stronger then he'll ever be. He also remembered her saying things happen... some things that are out of people's control.

"Hey guys," Sasha looks up. "This place is about to collapse."

"Captain!" Armin calls. "It opened up!"

Levi looks up at the small hole in the wall where the net was covering. Now it's wide enough for people to get through. Hope enters Levi's heart. There's still a chance he can get to her.

"Okay, Armin! Moblit! You two take Hange and find a way out of here!" Levi then takes off.

~SOPHIE~

"Just leave me here, Historia!" I scream over the rushing sound of air.

"That Titan is from your family! Let him eat us and everything will be alright! Get out of here!" Eren screams.

"You asshole!" I look at my brother. "I'm only saying to leave me so you guys can get out of here. I don't really want to be eaten by that fatso! I don't want him having this power! For some unknown reason, I know bad things will happen! Maybe if you get out of here with Historia, he won't be able to fully transform since you share half the power of the Titan I do, so we should be fine with only me getting eaten!"

Historia doesn't budge and Eren just stares at me in shock. His mind is still on what dad did and he feels guilty, but it's not our fault. I still believe it was for good reason. But Eren is ready to pay for days choices.

"I may be an enemy of humanity now, but I'm still your ally!" Historia screams. " I can't be selfless, and I don't wanna be a God. But... You're my friends and I'm going to save you dammit!"

She continues trying to get the right key for my feet, but she's struggling. Before me the Titan starts taking form, getting bigger and bigger.

More hot air bursts out and Historia is knocked away. The hot air stings my skin and I turn back to see Historia in Mikasa's arms. So they are here after all...

Eren stands up looking at me from beside Historia and Mikasa. He glances around him and then Levi comes propelling down. His face is bloody and he looks like hell, but he is determined.

"Give me the keys!" Levi shouts at Historia.

"Captain..." My breath leaves me.

I feel hands on my right arm, holding it tightly as the wind hits us. My eyes flutter up, seeing the familiar dark undercut and the sand colored top.
