You twirl around as you rush into the monastery, keeping a high pitched squeal inside. You were overjoyed! A guy complimented you! You were sure he liked you.
Even if the compliment was just... 'Nice shoes'... But you didn't care.
You were positive you'd live happily ever after.
"Daaaaddy!" You scream as you rush up behind him and leap onto his back, forcing him to give you a piggy back ride. "Hey, what's got you all bouncy? You didn't get into Lloyd's candy again, did you?" He asked, suspicious.
"Not this time!" You giggle. You suddenly start blathering on and on about the guy who complimented your shoes, so fast not even lightning mouth himself understood.
"Whoa whoa, sparky." He put you down. "All I got outta that was; boy, his eyes, cute--" he paused a moment, as you waiting for him to piece it together.

...
"You have a crush?!" Jay yelps loudly. You giggle and spin around. "He's perfect~" you sigh. Jay gulps, obviously unprepared for this point in child care.
"No. Nononononono!!" He yelps. You look at him confused. "You... You're not gonna go holding hands with that kid, understand?!"
You blink, confused why your dad's so stressed. "Why not?"
"You're... Too young. I'm trying to protect you from a young broken heart..." Jay says softly, picking you up. "Did that happen to you?" You ask, oblivious to his feelings. He tenses up and sighs. "S-Somewhat..."
"Just promise-no, swear to me, you don't date until you're... 18!" Jay demands. You glare stubbornly. "14!" You shout. "16!" He replied.
"Deal." You grin. Jay sighs and sits you down at your work bench in his lab, getting back to work on whatever project he was working on.
