You sat in the living room, wrapped in a thin blanket. You waited for what seemed like forever, as a thermometer was in your mouth. After a few more seconds, it beeps, and Jay takes it from your mouth.
"Just as I thought... A fever. And a bad one..." He muttered, placing a cold towel on your forehead. "Daddy, you're taking this well. I thought you'd be bouncing off the walls with worry." You say with a giggle, which you regret soon after.
Your throat hurt like heck, and your voice was weak. "I know, right? Even I'm surprised with myself." Jay laughs proudly, then goes back to serious daddy mode. "Let's see... Fevers need lots of rest... And easy-to-digest food." He read, from a book.
"Like yogurt?... And Smoothies?" You ask and cough quietly. Jay nods with a smile. "And lucky for you... Ice cream is on the list!"
You squeal the best you can with your condition, as Kai, Cole, Zane, and Lloyd bring in tubs of (favourite flavor) ice cream. As each ninja hands you a tub, you dive right in.
"You're the best doctor ever!" You say as you hug Jay. He chuckles and kisses your cheek. "I know, I know. Lay down and rest... I'll be back in a few minutes with a fan." He says and quickly leads his brothers out of the room.
