Finding you- Jay

Jay whistled a happy tune as he walked around a forest at midnight. (Don't question.)

He stretched and yawned, looking around a bit. "Well.. I guess I should head bac--"

"What do you think, Ssskales?" A voice hissed nearby. "I think ssshe'll be perfect... What a fine princess she'll be..." Another spoke. "Serpentine?" Jay's eyes widened a bit, and jumped up from branch to branch, until he finally spotted them.

Skales and and two other Serpentine were crowded around a small basket, and there was crying coming out of it in small hiccups of fear. "Ssstop your crying, child! It hurts our ears!" One grunt cried while blocking his ears.

"Is that.. A baby?" Jay stared down into the basket, seeing you, a human child, in distress. He pulled up his hood, got out his nunchucks and leaped down. And with one swift movement, knocking back the two grunts. Skales slithered back a bit. "Mess with your own kind, Skales." Jay said coldly,

Skales yelped as Jay shot a streak of lightning close by, and ran. Jay laughed to himself, then remembered you in the basket. He kneeled down and got a good look at you. Your H/C was all messy, falling over your eyes, and your E/C eyes were a bit red from crying. Jay smiled and picked you up with your F/C blanket, as you played with his hood.

"Aw, that's adorable." Jay giggled like a girl, but frowned. "You must be all alone. I doubt the Serpentine would go as low as stealing a baby... Do you want to be a ninja?" He asked, soon realize you can't speak yet, but you giggle and gurgle some baby gibberish.

"I'll take that as a yes! Let's go, baby Mini Jay!" Jay grins and leaps off, trying to think of a good name for you. "Hm.. Maybe Jay jr.. Or.. Greeny, or... Ooo! Y/N! That's perfect!" He cheers and makes his way back to the bounty.
