NICO POV:
I left the school, completely. I couldn't handle all of that right now, knowing that someone was out there knowing what was happening to me because they got all my injuries and knowing the person was two different things. I didn't even know that guys name and he had all my scars and knew what I did. Before I knew it I was at the park down the street from my house. I didn't want to go home yet even if my dad is at work. I knew my half sister Hazel wouldn't be home till 4, but I really just wanted to be alone right now. I didn't want to chance someone coming home early.
I was worried that guy would tell someone and I'd get bullied for being gay again. He seemed like he could take care of himself just fine, but I still didn't want him to have to deal with shit either. My last school was bad enough, and my home life isn't a piece of cake either, so I really didn't need anymore bully's.
☠︎︎☠︎︎☠︎︎
I checked my phone and realized i've been sitting in the park for about 4 hours now. It was 4:05 which meant not only I would have already got off the bus awhile ago but Hazel should be home. I jumped up and hurried off towards my house, trying to think of a good excuse for being like 25 minutes late.
"Hey Nico!" a male voice called from somewhere behind me.
Fuck. I thought as I turned around the see Percy and the blonde guy running after me.
"Shit shit shit," I mumbled as I picked up my pace. My house was only a few down at the end of the street but I didn't want to run and look like an idiot again.
Right as I was punching in the code for the gates a hand grabbed me by the arm. "Hey please don't run this time," The blonde boy said softly looking down at me with bright blue eyes. He really was extremely attractive, way out of my league.
"What," I snap at him, trying to look as mean as possible.
"Why'd you run off at lunch?" Percy asked eyeing my cautiously.
"Mind your business," I sneer at him, hoping if I was as much of a dick as possible they would leave me alone.
"Can we talk please?" The blonde asked still holding tight to my arm.
I shrugged out of his grasp and straightened my jacket. "Why?" I ask raising an eyebrow at him.
"I told you! Your my soulmate!" He exclaimed exasperated.
"Nico?" I heard Hazels voice say as she opened to front door. She must have noticed to guys talking to me in our front yard and got worried.
"Can't," I say, "Gotta go take care of my little sister you see she's sick." I gave Hazel a warning look to play along but at all she does is roll her eyes.
"No im not, stop using me as an excuse to get out of socializing," Hazel said motioning for everyone to come into our house. As i walked by her I glared down at her but she just rolled her eyes.
"Thanks, I'm Will," The blonde boy said as he walked in and reached a hand for my sister to shake.
"I'm Hazel," She said cheerfully, "Did my brother finally make friends?"
"Yeah," Percy said enthusiastically, looking all around our front room. Our dog Mrs O'Leary came running in from the kitchen and pounced on me knocking me over. She was a 125 pound Rottweiler and if you aren't expecting her to jump on you, you will end up on the ground and her attacking you with her kisses.
"Come on girl, get off me," I laughed as I tried to push her off.
WILL POV:
A massive Rottweiler came hurdling out of another room of Nicos massive house, and knocked him over. I was about to jump in and pull the dog off him until I saw he was laughing as the dog licked his face. I couldn't help but smile at the sound of his laugh, I just met him but I could tell it was something that rarely happened.
"Come on girl, get off me," Nico said between giggles, and pushed the dog off. The dog then turned to Percy and I and jumped on both of us, but after seeing the dog knock him over we were prepared.
"Hey girl," I said smiling at the dog who's paws were on my shoulders. I was impressed by her size, even for a Rottweiler she was huge. I was 6'2 and this dog on its hind legs was almost as tall as me.
Hazel pulled her off me, "Sorry, she doesn't bite she loves people."
"It's alright, I love dogs," I say still petting the dog.
"Me too, what's her name?" Percy asked.
"Mrs. O'Leary," Nico said staring at the ground.
"She's cute," I say smiling at him.
"I have homework, so i'll be upstairs," Hazel says as she goes and runs up their stairs.
"You have a nice house," Percy mentions looking around, his eyes particularly admiring there black polished brick fire place. His house was probably the biggest in the neighborhood, he lives on the rich half of the neighborhood but his house still seemed to loom over the rest. Walking into his house was like stepping into one of the houses you see in dream home magazines. Everything was black and white, but mostly black. They had a black sofa and arm chairs all facing the fire place with a huge flat screen above it. White book selfs filled the walls next to the elegant fire place. As we walked in more we saw the kitchen, which looked like it was off a fancy cooking show.
"What do you want," Nico snapped, interrupting my thoughts.
"I wanted to talk to you," I say, looking down at him.
He had his arms crossed across his chest definitely, and his facial expression was hard and cold.
"Well make it quick," he said sinking into one of the arm chairs. I sit on the sofa across with him followed by Percy.
"Why'd you run off when I told you we were soulmates?" I ask, getting straight to the point.
He closes his eyes as I saw the muscles in his jaw tighten. "Maybe I don't want a soulmate," He snapped back, raising as eyebrow at me.
"Well you have one," Percy interjects, "And your lucky you have this one."
"What are you so scared of?" I ask, which must have been the wrong thing to say because his eyebrows shot up.
"I'm not scared of anything," he sneered slowly leaning his arms on his knees.
I have to admit, he looked hot. His dark hair fell perfectly around his face and into his dark eyes. He had pretty chiseled features, and even thought there were quite a few visible scars he still looked to have been sculpted by a greek god.
"Then why'd you run away?" I ask, trying to make my voice stay calm and confident.
"I don't have a soulmate, and even if i did I don't want one," he says coldly.
"We've been over this, we're soulmates. You can't just not have a soulmate that's not how it works," I say, making sure to point between both of our lips.
Nico seemed to be at a loss for words, he just stared at me cautiously. I noticed him taking in everything about my appearance, though he was really good at not making it obvious.
"Yeah whatever," he finally says, leaning back in his chair.
I heard a door open down a hall way and slam shut again. I glanced over at Nico who had jumped out of his skin and looked like he had just seen a ghost.
"Fuck!" He murmured under his breath as he checked his phone. His eyes widened in terror, "Get out. NOW!" he yelled jumping up and waving us towards the door.
"What? Why?" Percy said.
"Are you alright?" I asked nervously, following his gaze down the hall and saw a large burly man standing looking at his phone. He looked up and locked eyes with me.
"Fuck." Nico said quietly, "My dads home early."
