WILL POV:
"Why does everything happen to you," my mom said handing Nico a cup of coffee. It may be 8 at night but we've both noticed coffee tends to calm him down.
"I don't know," Nico muttered. He was still shaking as he leaned back into me as he sipped the coffee. I put my arms around his chest and pulled him into me.
"Do I need to get ahold of your parole officer or the hospital or anything?" My mom asked him in a quiet voice.
"No, I think your alright. I'll call Johnathan tomorrow just in case, and the hospital will probably want to have a meeting with me and you Friday," Nico said, struggling to get all his words out.
"Alright," she said, "Well it's late so we all should go to bed soon, but I'm gonna turn in for the night. Goodnight."
"Goodnight Mom," I said smiling at her.
I took a deep breath as I felt some of the tension in Nicos body release. "How are you doing?" I ask.
"Shitty," Nico murmurs, "Thank you for doing that though."
"Doing what? Punching him?" Nico nodded. "You really think I was just gonna stand there and let someone hurt you?"
Nico shrugged, "I didn't know you had it in you to punch someone so hard to be honest, or to just punch someone in general."
"If someone ever lays a hand on you, even though I know you can take care of yourself, there gonna have to deal with me," I smile at him, and he thankfully smiles back.
"I don't want to go back there," Nico confesses, "Not just because of what happened after, but the whole thing. I just hate having to share anything about myself with people I don't know."
"I know, you don't even like sharing with people you do know," I comment.
"And it always makes me feel so judged, everyone staring at me."
"I'm sure they aren't judging you, there all there for similar reasons."
"Yeah cause there psychotic or tried to kill themself and weren't able to convince the doctors that they wouldn't try again," Nico muttered.
"Well once you get to know them maybe you'll like them, you seemed to hit it off with that one girl."
"Becca? I guess so, she's nice enough."
"You should add her snap or give me that paper, I wanna know what happened after we left," I say reaching in his pocket and pulling out the paper. He pulled out his phone and put in her username. She added him back almost immediately. Nico asked her what happened and she began to reply within seconds.
Becca: The police came right before Cole woke up and tried to say that your bf just came and punched him but the security guard and I told the police what your bf said. They wanted to talk to you but the security guard told them he told you two to leave because he could tell you really upset and felt like you needed to be out of that environment. Then my mom got there and I had to leave but I heard something about going to your house tomorrow.
"God dammit, I don't need anymore cops coming to talk to me," Nico complained.
Nico started to respond with just "K thx" but I took his phone before he sent it. "Shes just met you and she's being this nice, you can at least spell out thank you," I scold him before sending "Thank you for telling me!" for him.
"Did you have to add an exclamation mark?" He complained, glaring up at me.
"Yes, it shows appreciation," I tell him, smiling down at him.
"I don't know how your so cheery all the time," Nico murmured, downing the rest of his coffee in one gulp.
"I don't either, I just am," I laugh, "You shouldn't try it sometime sunshine."
"Yeah me, cheery all the time?" Nico said sardonically, sitting up and turning so that he was facing me.
I smirked mischievously as I had an idea that I knew Nico would hate.
"Why are you smiling like that-" He started but didn't get to finish his sentence because I interrupted him by tickling his sides. "St-Stop! W-W-Will!" he yelled through this laughing. He was trying to push my hands off but I somehow ended up on top of him. I stopped and stared right into his deep brown eyes. He was out of breath and breathing heavily from laughing so much. "Hi," he smiled up at me.
My smile grew even wider if that was even possible. "Hi," I say back, still staring in his eyes.
We sat like that for a minute or so before Nico interrupted. "Are you gonna just sit there or are you gonna kiss me?" he said in a husky voice, still smiling up at me. I leaned down and planted my lips on his his. He wrapped one of his hands around my neck and pulled me into a deeper kiss, while his other snaked it's way up my shirt and rested on my chest. I put my arm around his waste and pulled my body closer to his. Somehow or another, this ended with us falling asleep on the coach wrapped in nothing but each other's arms.
