NICO POV:
My first reaction to him kissing me surprisingly wasn't to bite off his lips and spit them back at his face. Don't get me wrong I jerked my head away at first and looked at him like he was crazy, but then I realized what just happened and that I had actually liked it. I wrapped my hand around his head and pulled him back down and kissed him. This time it was his turn to be surprised, it took him a moment but he started kissing me back again. His hand snaked around the side of my waste and I ignored the stabbing pain of my broken or bruised ribs as he pulled me closer to him. I've always thought those movies where when the leads finally kiss the fireworks go off was cheesy, but now I understood it. I felt like someone had just shot off thousands of fireworks in my body. After what felt like hours someone opened the door and gasped interrupting us.
"Sorry," Hazel said, standing next to Percy.
"Finally!" Percy hooted throwing his hand up triumphantly.
I felt my cheeks turn hot pink and saw that Will had the same reaction.
"Didn't mean to interrupt that, but Dad could be home any minute," Hazel said reluctantly, looking at me with a face that she always used when she was trying to silently apologize.
"Your right," I sighed, "You should go."
"Fine, walk me out," Will said grabbing my hand and forcing me to sit up.
"Am I gonna have to try and carry you up the stairs after?" Hazel asked as she saw me wince standing up.
"Ha-Ha," I mock, although I was thinking 'no, you only have to do that when I'm unconscious' but didn't say that aloud.
Will put his arm around me, "Does your leg hurt that bad still?"
"No, you can thank my dad for this one," I grumble.
Will looked at me with so much concern I wanted to slap him. "It's fine, I can walk," I say moving away from him. It was honestly really nice having him right there, not only carrying most of my weight so it didn't hurt to walk but just because, well he had his arm around me.
"Are you sure?" Will asked, watching me wince with every step. "You know you don't have to walk me out love."
I paused for a second just wrapping me head around what he just said. Did he just call me. . . Love? And the more important question, why didn't I hate it?
"I'm good, I don't need help," I say, brushing his hand off me again.
"You sure man?" Percy asked from slightly behind Will and I.
"Yes," I snap, "I think I know how to walk on my own."
I did let Will help me down the stairs, but only because I almost fell on the first step. I opened the front door for them and Percy was the first to start heading out.
"See ya," Percy said.
"Bye," Will smiled down at me, putting his hand on my neck and kissing me again.
I definitely turned bright red and couldn't look him in the eyes again as he walked out the door.
"Took you long enough," Hazel smirked from the coach.
"What?"
"You knew he was your soulmate from the day you met him, yet you still took over a month to let him get close to you," Hazel scolded.
"Well sorry little miss perfect, but being soulmates doesn't guarantee he wouldnt have just decided he hated me and became a crazy cat lady," I say sardonically, although I was telling her my genuine fears. And that fear was still on the table because after all he still barely knew me. He has no clue about anything in my past other than what was spread around our school before I even got there.
"Yeah sure he would have," Hazel joked back, "Now that your in a better mood will you finally eat something?"
I sighed and rolled my eyes, "Fine."
