WILL POV:
Nicos only been talking to Nessa for 20 minutes, yet it felt like it's been an hour at the least.
"He's going to be okay," my mom said, putting her hand on my knee to keep my leg from shaking.
I forced a smiled at her, grateful that she was here. I've never known my dad, he left when I was born so it's kinda just been me and her my whole life. She's always been my rock, I don't know what I would do without her.
"I know, but I'm still scared," I say, biting the my lip anxiously.
"I know honey, but whatever happens he'll have us."
The door opens and Nessa walked out looking grim.
"You can go talk to him," she said as she hurried past us.
I furrowed my eyebrows at her sense of urgency. I hurried into the hospital room and saw Nico was crying.
"What happened?" I ask as I wrap my arms around him.
"Good news, she said I don't have to go to a mental hospital. Bad news she's having to call the cops about my dad, he could possibly end up in jail for awhile," Nico croaked through tears.
"Those are both good things in my book, your dad deserves to go to jail after what he did to you," my mom interjected with.
"I agree," I add, stroking his hair to calm him down.
Nico didn't say anything, just buried his face into my neck.

"They said he can live with us still," my mom said as she walked back into Nicos hospital room after talking to the police.
Both Nico and I let out a breath we didn't know we were holding in.
"Thank god," I sigh, squeezing Nicos hand.
"He still has to stay in the hospital overnight but we can take him home tomorrow," my mom added, sitting on the coach in the room. They had transferred him to a room upstairs where they kept the patients staying overnight.
"The sooner I can get out of here the better," Nico grumbled, "I hate hospitals."
"Who doesn't?" My mom smiled at him.
"True," Nico shrugged.
"You look tired, and it's midnight, you should go to sleep," I tell him.
He looks at me like I'm crazy, "You think I'm going to be able to sleep in a hospital bed?"
I rolled my eyes at him, "Stop being a princess, your fine. Go to bed."
"Just because you told me to I'm not gonna," he said defensively, crossing his arms mockingly.
"You both should get some sleep," My mom added, "I'll be back in the morning."
"Ok bye," I say waving as she walks out of the hospital room.
"I'm not gonna be able to sleep in a hospital bed with a pillow as flat as a piece of paper," Nico states plainly.
"Oh move over princess you can use me as a pillow."
To be fair, I mostly said this because I wanted to cuddle but it was a good excuse so I didn't have to just flat out say that.
As he moves over so I lay next to him. He wraps his arm around my waist and lays his head on my chest, I wrap my arm around his shoulders and pull him closer to me. He almost instantly falls asleep it seems like, but meanwhile I was realizing he was right about how uncomfortable the hospital bed is. But no matter how uncomfortable the bed was, I was still perfectly happy because I had Nico in my arms.
