WILL POV:
I wrapped my arms around him tighter as he sobbed into my chest.
"Shhh, it's alright," I assured him, running my hand through his hair.
"Y-Your t-t-too good f-for me," he stuttered out, his hands gripping the sides of my shirt.
"No Im not," I say defensively.
"Yes you are, I-I don't kn-know how you, how you deal with all my pro-problems."
"There not just your problems Neeks, there mine too. We're gonna get through this together okay?"
"You shouldn't have to deal with my problems!"
Out of the corner of my eye I saw Hazel slowly walking back into the kitchen. She smiled at me when she saw I noticed her, placing the first aid kit on the counter and walking off.
"Here, sit up I'll clean you up," I saw reaching for the first aide kid. I didn't want him to move, I liked holding him like that.
I wiped the blood off his face and cleaned the wounds with rubbing alcohol, which he barley winced at. Then I used a couple bandaids in more shallow cuts and butterfly bandaids on deeper ones. His face was stained with tear tracks and I could feel him shaking.
"Do you want to go over to my house? Get away from this?" I ask, my face probably etched with concern.
He thought for a moment before shaking his head.
"Ok, let's go. Don't worry about getting clothes you can use mine."
"I'll tell Hazel," Nico said standing up unsteadily and over the Hazel who was just around the corner in the hallway.
We walked out of his house and a few blocks to mine. I was holding his hand the entire time and he kept leaning slightly onto me. Walking into my house, my mom was sitting on the sofa eating a sandwich and watching Greys Anatomy.
"Hey Will!" She said turning, her eyes falling in my face. "Oh no! What happened to your face!" Then she saw Nico, who was clutching onto my hand and slightly hiding behind me. "Is this Nico?"
"Yes," I say moving slightly so my mom could see him better.
"Is everything alright?" She rushed over and automatically grabbed his face to examine it. He flinched away from her and back behind me.
"He doesn't like being touched Mom," I said, looking at her surprised and slightly pained expression.
"Oh I'm sorry Nico, I didn't mean to frighten you," she apologised, looking at nico like he was a sick puppy.
"Your ok," Nico mumbled back, so quiet he was barley audible.
"What happened? You both are all cut up," My mom said studying us anxiously.
I pause to look at Nico who looked like all he wanted to do was curl up and cry. "I'll tell you later mom."
I lead Nico upstairs to my room and we sit on my bed. He sat there stiff and frozen, only looking at my comforter. I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him into my chest again. Thankfully he let me, and relaxed in my arms after a moment or so.
"I'm sorry. . ." He murmured.
"Don't be sorry," I say, running my hands through his hair. I could feel his breathing steadying as we lay there. After about 30 minutes I realised he fell asleep. I smiled down at Nico sadly, all i wanted to do was help him but I didn't have a clue how.
