WILL POV:
"Put me down!" Nico demanded, trying to wriggle out of my grasp.
"Here, keep some pressure on it," my mom said moving Nicos free arm to the towel. Thankfully he at least didn't protest doing that, but the whole way to the car he kept trying to free himself from my arms.
I didn't chance setting him down outside of the car, I did not put it past him to just run for it. I set him in the car and followed in directly after him.
"I don't even have a shirt on!" Nico stated. To be honest I hadn't even noticed until he mentioned it. I had been so distracted that this was the first time I noticed.
"You'd just have to take it off anyway," I say, grabbing his arm because he was barley even touching the towel.
My teacher into the back seat and handed me her phone as she started speeding to the hospital. "Call Nessa, tell her we have a code red heading her way and we'll be there in 5 minutes."
"Ok," I say looking for her contact. I called and told her what my mom said.
"Are you ok?" She asked, she sounded concerned.
"I'm fine, it's just my boyfriend you'll see," I respond and she hangs up.
Nessa been my moms best friend since college, when Nessa was becoming and doctor and my mom a nurse. She always calls her self Auntie Nessa too, she's kind of a part of our family at this point.
When we got to the hospital I saw her and a nurse already waiting outside with a Gurney. When she saw us pulling up they rushed to our car.
"There acting like I'm dying or something," Nico grumbled. For the first time the entire car ride I looked at his face and noticed he looked noticeably paler. I could also tell he was struggling keeping his eyes open, though I knew he'd never admit it. Because then he'd have to admit that he did need to go to the hospital. I was beyond relieved we were here.
I picked Nico up again and carried him out of the car, and the fact that he didn't protest scared me even more then I already had been.
"Oh my god what happened?" Nessa asked as I set him on the gurney. She took one look at the blood soaked towel and I saw her switch into emergency mode. As they rushed him through the doors and to a room my mom and I explained what happened.
The next couple of minutes when by in a blur. They tied a tourniquet around his arm, and and few other things I wasn't processing. He looked even paler than he had before and his eyes kept fluttering open and closed. He hadn't said a word since we first got in the car, which was terrifying in its self. Normally Nico would have been fighting me the entire way to the hospital, and arguing with the doctors.
"He's lost a lot of blood, does either of you know his blood type?" The nurse asked.
"Mines B negative, so that's his too," I say.
"We're gonna give him more blood, you two need wait in the hall while we get him stable," Nessa said pushing us out the door.
"No im not going!" I snap back moving back to Nicos side.
"Will, your just going to be getting in the way and make out job harder," Nessa said.
Reluctantly I walked out into the hall with my mom. Once I was out there the reality of what just happened really hit me and I broke down in my moms arms. I kept seeing people staring at me but I didn't care. All that I cared about was Nico.
After what felt like a year Nessa walked out into the hallway and shut his hospital door behind him.
"Is he ok?" I asked frantically, wiping tears off my face.
"He's going to be okay, he passed out but we got his wounds to stop bleeding and are going to stitch him up, we have him hooked up to check on his vitals," Nessa said.
"Thank the gods," I felt like a massive weight was lifted of my shoulders. "Can I see him!"
"Wait, I need to ask you a few questions," Nessa stopped me. "What's his full name?"
"Nico Alexander Di Angelo," I answer immediately.
"His parents names and contact?"
"Uhh I don't know, but his dad owns a law firm, I think it's called like Maria something. It was named after Nicos mom, I know that."
"I know he's living with you, but you don't have a way to contact his parents?" Nessa questioned.
I paused, not exactly knowing what to say
"Yeah, his dad was abusive so I let him live with us," My mom answered for me. "Do you know his phone password, maybe he has his dads number in his phone."
"I don't think he had it on him when we brought him here, I'll look in his pocket for it if I can go in now," I start to enter his room and Nessa doesn't stop me.
Walking in I saw Nicos arm was wrapped in a bandage for until they can give him the stitches. He had an Iv in his arm and things hooked to his chest. I walked over and reached in both his pockets for his phone, which wasn't there. While I was doing that Nicos eyes opened.
"Will?" He choked, noticing me reaching in his pockets.
"He doesn't have it," I tell them. I notice the nurse coming in with all the things for the stitches.
"Have what?" Nico questioned, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Ok well worry about that later," Nessa says walking over to the cart with the stitches.
Nicos eyes widen. "I don't want stitches," he says quickly.
"You need them," Nessa stated plainly, grabbing the syringe to numb his arm.
Nico jerked his arm away from her and winced as he pulled his Iv.
I grabbed his hand. "It'll be ok, I'm right here," I say squeezing his hand.
"I'm not getting stitches again," Nico said firmly, keeping his arm away from Nessa.
"Too bad, your getting stitches," I finally snap, "Give her your arm."
Nico gives me a death glare but does as I say. As she goes to start numbing his arm Nico pulled me closer to him and buried his head in my chest like I did last time he got stitches. I wrapped my arms around his head and ran my fingers through his hair to distract him.
