WILL POV:
"Is Piper coming too?" I asked Jason as we started walking out of the school.
"No her dad and her have reservations at some fancy restaurant," Jason tells me.
"Wow how are you going to manage a night without Piper?" Nico said sardonically.
"Ha-Ha, very funny," Jason replied, "Your the one that can't go anywhere without Will."
Nico blushed, "Yes I can!"
"Oh really? Then why are you two always together?" Jason snickered.
"Because he lives with me and we go to the same school," Nico argued. "And neither of us do anything outside of school really unless it's with you or Percy really."
"Oh really? The why don't just you hang out with Percy and I?" Jason offered.
Nico considered a moment, "I'd be perfectly fine with that, but I don't want to leave Will out."
"I think he'd survive," Jason said looking at me.
"I'd be fine," I shrug, though I know this is not what Nico wanted me to say. Nico proved me right when he glared at me like I had just said we should kill Mrs. O leary.
"You say that but then you'll be texting me wanting me to come home because your lonely," Nico said with a look that said 'you better agree with me'.
I shrug, "Maybe, I wouldn't know since we spend all our time together."
"You say that likes its a problem," Nico muttered crossing his arms.
"No it's not! I love spending time with you I'm just trying to prove my point," I say quickly not wanting him to get upset.
He scoffed, "Sure," he drawled dramatically.
Jason laughed, "See, even Will agrees with me that your never apart for more than a few hours."
We got the car and started to head back home. "Yeah, but I like always having Nico around," I say, causing Nico to smile softly.
"See, we are perfectly happy always being together," Nico glared at Jason as if daring him to object.
"Never said you weren't, just said you couldn't spend a day without him," Jason said putting his hands up.
Nico grunted. "Whatever Grace," he pouted.
"On a better note," I interrupted, "Are you excited to get your license back Neeks?"
Nico perked up in excitement, "Hell yeah! Finally I can go back to driving 100 on the highway!"
I looked at him disapprovingly, "I'm not gonna let you do that."
"Well then I just won't do it with you in the car," he sniggered cockily.
"I won't let you drive without me then," I threatened.
"Fine mom," he rolled his eyes.
We pulled up to Nicos house and we pulled into the driveway. Every one ran in and out there bags in the living room before turning right back around to get back in the car. Jason and I both wanted to be there for Nico when he got his license so we could congratulate him.
It took 20 minutes to get to the DMV where Nico had to take his drivers test over, but Nico was basically vibrating in excitement. When we got there and got out of the car Nico skipped up to the guy waiting out front with a clipboard and gave him his name.
"Alright Nico, i'm gonna be your examiner. Are these your friends?" He asked.
"Yes," Nico responded politely. "They just wanted to be here for emotional support."
The examiner smiled. "Very nice of your friends, they will just have to wait here. My names John by the way," he said reaching his hand out to shake Nicos. "Now is this the car that you will be primarily driving?"
"I have 8 cars, but this will be the one i drive to school everyday so yeah," Nico said nonchalantly.
John's eyes widened, "Did you say you have 8 cars?"
"Oh yeah," Nico blushed, he always forgot that that's not a normal thing.
"Wow okay," he said shaking his head. "Well we'll be driving in this car today unless you have any objections."
"Works with me," Nico said, "Will can I get the keys?"
I threw him the keys and he got into the drivers seat for the first time in over a year. I could see the happy glint in his eyes at being able to drive again.
He pulled out of the parking lot and didn't come back for about 30 minutes. But when he did he looked ecstatic. He jumped out of the car with John.
"He passed," John said to Jason and I.
I jumped in excitement rapping Nico in a big hug. "I'm so proud of you!"
"Congrats dude!" Jason said patting him on the back.
We followed them into the building and watched as Nico got a new picture for his license and within 30 minutes they had printed out his new license and handed it over to Nico.
Nico waved it in front of his face, "I can finally fucking drive again!"
"Yes you can," I smiled down at him kissing his forehead.
"Let's get out of here," Nico said pulling the keys from his pocket. "And we're not going directly home I hope you know that."
"I didn't expect to," Jason laughed.
"I didn't either," I say.
We got in the car and I couldn't help but smile to myself at the look on Nicos face. He loved cars and he loved driving so I can't imagine how hard it must have been for him to have lost his license for long.
Nico pulled out of the parking lot and before I knew it he was going at least 10 over the speed limit. He was a surprisingly good driver though, following all the traffic laws except the speed limit which he says is only a recommendation.
"I don't think it's a recommendation," Jason said nervously.
"It's is when your a good driver," Nico shrugged leaning on his knee which he had pulled up on to the seat. "I've never got in an accident or gotten a speeding ticket so i think i'm okay."
"He says as he crashes the car," Jason joked.
"Don't joked about that," I said with wide eyes, "Don't put that negative energy in the air when he's going 20 over the speed limit."
"Twenty!" Jason exclaimed, "I'm putting my seatbelt on holy shit."
"Why didn't you have it on before!" Nico argued, "I may be a good driver but other people aren't you never know what may happen."
"You sound like my mom," Jason said rolling his eyes.
"If you die it's not my fault," Nico said putting his hand up in surrender.
"Hands on the wheel!" I exclaimed, finally showing how nervous I was feeling.
Nico snickered, "Okay mom."
"Sorry I just want to get home in one piece," I protested.
"And you will," Nico smiled, "Like I said i'm a good driver."
"You may be good but your still going 20 over the speed limit."
"Your point is?" Nico teased. "I've got quick reflexes."
I rolled my eyes, "Just don't kill us."
"I'll do my best," Nico laughed.
I don't know why but having Nico at the wheel was actually terrifying. Like I knew he was a good driver, and I could see he was good but it was just so weird having him be at the wheel and not me. Is this how my mom felt when she first taught me to drive?
I hadn't noticed but I was grabbing the handle on the top of the window until Nico pointed at my hand. "Am I actually scaring you that much?" Nico asked furrowing his eyebrows at me.
"It's just weird having you drive," I said.
"Fine I'll slow down," he said hitting the break and going only 5 over the speed limit.
"Just till I get used to you driving okay?" I said knowing he hates going this slow.
He smiled at me, "Alright."

A/N: I'm so sorry i've been MIA for so long. I completely lost the creative motivation for this story or for writing in general tbh. This chapter isn't the best or anything but it's something. Hopefully I can get back into the groove and continue writing for y'all!
