Chapter 12 : Hey...That's not fair.

"You said that," the man, now known as Zabuza smirked.

"Noooooooooooooooo," Naruto whined. "But I'm hungry!!! I haven't eaten in weeks!!!"

"It was just one day, kit," Kurama sweatdropped.

'SHADDUP KURA!!!' Naruto screamed at the Kyuubi.

"Ah...haha..." Zabuza's apprentice, Haku, sweatdropped at Zabuza's...kinda...childish behaviour. "Maybe you should give him some, Zabuza-sama."

"....Fine. But just one," Zabuza glared at the blonde boy who cheered and chewed on the fish handed to him.

"...Where do you live, kid?" Zabuza asked.

"I dunno, I just wander around," Naruto answered.

"Where are your parents?" 

"Dead," Naruto said as he stared at his fish.

"...I see," Zabuza responded. "Kid..."

"Hm?" Naruto looked up at Zabuza.

"What would you say if I offered to train you?"

Naruto blinked. 'Kura...did he just...'

"...Yeah."

'Then- We don't have to steal the scroll!!!'

"Really!?!?" Naruto's eyes shone.

Zabuza chuckled at the boy's enthusiasm. "Yeah."

"Thanks, Moomoocchi!!!" Naruto grinned.

"Who said you could call me that!?" Zabuza grew a tick mark.

"I did!" Naruto giggled.

"Fine then..."  Zabuza squinted his eyes at the blonde and sighed. "...Narucchi."

Naruto blinked. And smiled slightly. "Moomoocchi...."

"Hm?" 

"Will you be my friend?"

Zabuza's eyes widened at the question. He blinked and gave a warm smile that was hidden under his mask. "Sure, kid."

"And that's how I met him!!!" Naruto grinned. "Anyways, where's Haku-nee?"

A figure dashed out of the bushes and tackled Naruto down. "I TOLD YOU I'M A BOY!!!!"

"I know, but Haku-nee sounds nicer," Naruto giggled. Haku pouted at the blonde under his mask.

"So...Are we going to fight or not?" Sakura asked.

"...I guess not," Zabuza answered as he leaped down from the tree. "The kid wouldn't want that, would he?"

Kakashi narrowed his eyes at the Cowcow man. "Fine...but I'll be keeping an eye on you."

"Let's gooooo!!!!!" Naruto squealed.

Tazuna and Sasuke felt as if they were non-existent.

"Father!" Tsunami leaped onto Tzauna in delight as he entered the house. "You're safe!!! And...who are these people with you?"

"Oh, they're the ninjas who protected me on my journey here. Say hi," Tazuna turned to the ninjas who stood outside. "And two of them were ninjas who...were...hired to kill me...? Never mind, cut that off, Shimiko."

"Welcome, I'm Tsunami, Tazuna's daughter," Tsunami greeted with a smile.

"Hello," Kakashi eye-smiled. "I'm Kakashi Hatake."

"Naruto Uzumaki dattebayo!!!" Naruto, who was being carried by Zabuza, grinned.

"Aw, hi!" Tsunami smiled. "Come on, let's get you nice and comfy inside," Tsunami said and hugged Naruto, brining him to the largest bedroom in the house.

The ninjas sweatdropped. Sakura deadpanned.

"Hey...that's not fair."
