Chapter 9 : Asuma's Girlfriend

"Naru-chan, come on," Naruto gestured for Naruto to come over. Naruto gave the Hatake his clothes and stretched his arms out for Kakashi to fit the clothes onto him as Asuma watched from the side. "Done. Now let's go get some ramen."

The three walked down to streets with Kakashi hugging Naruto protectively.

"Why do you need to hug him?" Asuma asked.

"Don't you see?" Kakashi glared coldly at the villagers who sent glares at their direction. Asuma's eyes widened in realisation. So this was the boy his father loved so dearly.

"Plus, he likes it," Kakashi eye-smiled as he eyed Naruto who was sleeping peacefully on his shoulder.

"What happened? He's supposed to be 12 right?" Asuma asked as they sat down at Ichiraku. Ayame greeted them quietly to not wake up the adorable tiny Naru.

"Well...Kur-Kyuubi said they were trying to merge together." Kakashi explained. "It did work, but then...Naruto became smaller and lost a part of his memories."

"How did you know about him then?" Asuma asked.

"I guarded him when I was in ANBU." Kakashi answered. "Except for the third, I was the only one willing to take care of him since the orphanage wouldn't."

"But why would you?"

"...He's my sensei's son....I have to." Kakashi said. Asuma nodded. Kakashi then chuckled and eye-smiled. "More like I want to."

After their dinner, Kakashi walked Asuma back home, by the order of the mighty Naru-chan.

'Hopefully they won't know...' Asuma thought, eyeing Kakashi.

He opened the door and allowed the two to enter.

It seems today wasn't his lucky day.

"Oh, Asuma-kun, you're-...Eh?" Kurenai blinked.

"U-Um..." Asuma blushed.

"Are you two..." Kakashi eyed them suspiciously. "...dating?"

"Kashi-nii, what's dating?" Naru asked. Kakashi sweated a bit. "Nothing you need to know, Naru-chan."

"Hm? Who's that, Kakashi?" Kurenai asked, changing the topic.

"Oh...Naru-chan Introduce yourself." Kakashi eye-smiled.

"I'M NARUTO UZUMAKI NAMIKAZE, DATTEBAYO!!!!" Naru grinned. Kurenai blinked in shock. "N-Namikaze?"

"Damn...he let it slip again..." Kakashi sweatdropped.

"A-Anyways...make yourself at home..." Kurenai mumbled with a blush. "I'll go get some drinks."

"Home?" Naru's eyes sparkled.

"No, Naru, tha-"

"YAY!!!!"

A chibi Kurama appeared, sleeping.

"-that is not allowed."

Silence.

Asuma got into a fighting stance. "Kakashi, what are you doing!? It's the nine-tails!"

"KURA!!!!!!!!!!!!" Naruto screamed, startling Kurama. The chibi fox shot up in panic and rolled off the sofa, crashing into the floor. Asuma wanted to sweatdrop, but the ninetails was the enemy here.

"What is it, kit? What is it?" Kurama asked, half-asleep and panicked.

"Genjutsu! Genjutsu!!!" Naruto squeaked in excitement.

"And you woke me up just for that?" Kurama growled. Naruto nodded with excitement clearly shown in his eyes.

"Tch," Kurama leaped onto Naruto. He glanced at Asuma then turned back to Naruto. He gasped and turned to Asuma, eyes full of rage. Asuma trembled under the Kyuubi's killer intent.

"What do you want." Kurama growled.

"Kurama-san, calm down. He's not an enemy," Kakashi said with a bored exppression.

"HEY!!! WHEN WERE YOU THERE!? I-I MEAN- UH- YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO D-"

"Kura." Naru poked the Kyuubi who was now blushing furiously, although it wasn't visible because of his fur. "Genjutsu."

"Whatever." he huffed and tapped Naruto lightly with his paw.There was a poof and...

"Kakashi...why does he have ears and a tail."

"I SMELL TEAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Naruto grinned and wagged his tail excitedly like a dog. Kurenai came out from the kitchen and her eyes widened at Naruto and the Kyuubi beside him.

"I'LL HELP YOU, NEECHAN!!!" Naruto shouted and help put the tea at the coffee table.

"U-Um," Kurenai stuttered. "Can I...t-touch your ears?"

Naruto nodded. Kurenai touched his soft ears and cooed as Naruto started to purr. She scratched the whisker marks on his cheeks, making him purr even more. Kurama grew a tick mark and growled protectively. Kurenai flinched and backed away.

"Look who's jealous," Kakashi smirked. "SHUT UP!!! I AM THE MIGHTY KITSUNE NO KYUUBI AND I WILL TEAR YOU TO PIECES!!!!!" Kurama roared.

And that is how Asuma and Kurenai met Naruto.

ok for Shikaku and Inoichi, Shikaku is a genius and Inoichi is a yamanaka. u know that. Hiruzen wanted to check if Naru-chan was an imposter (the day he turned small) and ordered them to interrogate naruto. he dint ask Ibiki cuz hes scary.

Inoichi couldn't check naru's memories cuz kurama threatened to kill him if he did. Since kurama was in naruto, the third confirmed that he wasnt an imposter. thats how naruto knew Inoichi and Shikaku.
