Under the mighty Naru-chan's orders-, ahem, I mean after a small voting session, Team 7 has decided to continue on the mission, much to the bridgebuilder's relief.
Kakashi's eye narrowed as he threw a shuriken into a bush. A small white bunny ran out.
"BUNNY!!!!" Naru squeaked and squarted down to watch it run away.
Kashi's eye widened when he sensed something headed for their way. "DUCK!!!!"
He managed to pull the genins and Tazuna down just as a huge sword flew over them.
"Heh, you actually managed to dodge it," a voice said.
"Kura-chan...that sword looks familiar..." Naruto mumbled.
"Is that..." The Kyuubi blinked. 'SHIT!!! CAN'T-'
"Zabuza Momochi. Demon of the Mist. Are you working for Gato too?" Kakashi narrowed his eyes at a figure above them.
"Zabuza...?" Naru blinked.
"Sharingan no Kakashi....what an hono-"
"MOOMOOCCHI!?!?!!" Naruto screamed.
Zabuza blinked. "Narucchi?"
"Wait what."
"Huh, kid what are you doing here?" Zabuza asked.
"I'm on a mission!!!" Naruto grinned.
"But why are you with the leaf ninjas?" Zabuza asked.
"DAMN IT KIT!!! STOP TALKING!!! GAH, THEY'RE GONNA-"
"Because...I am a leaf ninja...?" Naruto tilted his head, confused.
"What? But aren't you an Kiri civilian?" Zabuza furrowed his non-existent eyebrows.
"Naruto...what is going on?" Kakashi asked.
"Wait.....OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Naruto's eyes sparkled. "That time when I-"
"KIT, STOP-"
"-sneaked out of the village!!!!"
Silence.
"Naruto." Kakashi stared at the blonde.
"You what." said everyone at the same time.
"Of all memories, he managed to remember that one..." Kurama sighed.
Flashback
'No one's here,' Naruto whispered to Kura. He pulled out a scroll and made a ram handsign. "Sensing Barrier : Release!"
The sensing barrier, not visible to the raw eye, disappeared. A kanji for 'world' appeared in the empty circle drawn on the scroll.
"Careful, kit. Don't let anyone notice." Kurama warned.
'I know, I know,' Naruto groaned as he ran out of the village gates. He stopped right outside and rolled open the scroll again. "Sensing Barrier : Restore!"
The sensing barrier was restored as the kanji disappeared. Naruto smirked. "All done. Let's go."
"Nice, it went smoothly," Kurama smirked along.
"The village's security sucks," Naruto snickered as he ran through the forests, concealing his chakra.
"It's just your fuuinjutsu skills that are too good. Not everyone can release that barrier," Kurama said.
"Ooh, a compliment."
"Shut up."
"Careful, kit. This is Kirigakure, not some kind of petty village." Kurama warned.
'I know! It's not like I can just run in here and steal some jutsu scrolls without knowing how strong the village is!' Naruto hissed.
"Maybe you should act like a civilian. That'd be much less suspicious." Kurama suggested.
'Okay.' Naruto nodded and concealed 99% of his chakra. Suddenly, something hit him and he tripped.
"Damn it, kid! Who are you! Don't get in my way!" A voice growled.
"Sorry!" Naruto blinked.
"Wait, what are you doing here? A battle's starting. You'll get killed. Get outta here," the man said.
"What battle?" Naruto's eyebrows furrowed. His eyes widened when an explosion tag hung to a kunai came flying at their direction.
"DAMN IT!!!" The man shouted. He pulled Naruto by his waist and ran away at high jonin speed. "Shit...attempt failure..." he growled.
"What attempt?" Naruto asked.
"Tsk..why would I tell you?" the man glared at him.
"Please???" Naruto activated his puppy eyes jutsu.
"Goddamn it, don't give me that- UGH!!! FINE!!!" The man growled.
